I'm not to sure on the frontal approach. To many moving parts in play and yes I know this surgery has been performed quite frequently but still not sure. The pain in my back now I think is caused by broken hardware that I can feel. My pain level was almost non existent before it broke. I don't understand how entering in the front will fix the damaged hardware in the back.

Dr. Shafer reviewed my scan after being admitted to the emergency room and rearranged the operating room schedule to get me in before it ruptured. I had three 1/2" cuts on my abdomen and recovered with out complications. He is kind, professional and fast.
