List of Kimberly Maroney Md's Reviews
Unless you wish to be talked down to and treated like an utter idiot, don’t go see Dr. Maroney. She is about as caring as a wet log covered in bird droppings. I don’t doubt her intellect by any means but I seriously doubt she was aware she would be interacting with other members of the human race when she decided to become an MD. She’s a 3 but makes you wish you’d allowed your throat to swell and die rather than to see her for care.
I stop seeing Dr. Maroney because she spent so little time with me. My husband stayed. 18 months ago she told him a lesion on his head was nothing. It never healed and I finally got him to see a dermatologist. You guessed it...skin cancer.
I stopped going to Maroney after she screwed up on my prescriptions twice. But my husband has remained a patient. Just heard through the grapevine that she is closing but hasn't bothered to tell her patients. Moving to a group 40 miles away. Very unprofessional in so many ways.
This lady is the definition of garbage. I have serious gallbladder issues and she declined me as a patient without an explanation, might I mind you this was the same lady who refused to help a patient who was having a stroke in her parking lot because she was going out to lunch. Seriously lady if being a doctor is to hard for you, maybe selling snow cones on the corner would be more suitable. So disgusted
Started out fine 3 years ago than she diagnosed me with a condition. After Harvey Dr. Left area came back for a short period than all of a sudden left again and is working in Corpus. We switched to another local doctor and he revised my diagnosis (she had completely misdiagnosed it). Had surgery to fix the condition she didn't find and am now doing great. The fact she put herself over her patients in leaving area is unacceptable for a physician. Run if you see her in the hospital.
If you can't take the truth; don't go to her - she is awesome and tells it like it is!!!
I will not ever recommend this doctor. Very bad experience! Too much info to go in to detail. Please trust me. Do not use this doctor. She is disrespectful to her patients and employees.
Dr. Maroney was very rude and questioned the diagnosis from my endocrinologist. I was a cash pay customer because I had no health insurance. Even though I paid an outlandish office visit charge, she repeatedly tried to refer me to an indigent clinicfor fir a monthly injection that my doctor in San Antonio had prescribed for my condition. She then questioned my cardiology diagnosis and sent me another bill for an ekg. She requested that I return for further testing. I was insulted and felt very brlittked by this woman... would not recommend her to my worst enemy!
Dr. Kim Maroney is an effective diagnostician and family doctor. She is patient, thoughtful, empathetic and professional. Her staff is polite, caring and knowledgeable. Dr Maroney has an excellent practice, (best in Rockport, no question about it) and cares about her patients health. Staff got me on schedule more that once same day I called- love it!
She is knowledgeable but doesn't have other qualities you want in a doctor. She has treated several people I know like dirt and felt totally justified doing it. Narcissistic. I could never recommend.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
