Douglas Magnuson Md's Online Review Report Card

I have been a patient of Dr. Magnuson for the past ten years. He's caring and knowledgeable. He listens and recommends treatment for various ailments. I'm nearing 78 years old; he knows about gerontological developments. I would definitely recommend him to others.

Dr. magnuson is very caring & personable. He is easy to talk to & he never makes you feel small or unimportant. He will follow through until answer is found. Sherry is the best assistant ever. She is kind caring & sensitive. Very thorough.

I would not take my own children to this doctor.

I am so disappointed with the lack of service I have received in regards to health. I think they are all confused and don't know what customer service or medical conditions are. I have been going to their practice for 25+ years and I switched to Magnuson from Colgan this past year and it was awful. I regret ever choosing him as a doctor. Worst mistake I have ever made. Thankfully I went somewhere else where they could diagnose me. He's lacking- he has to always use his ipad or whatever device to look up web md and prescriptions. NO other doctor does that. It's scary!! Leaving my health or my children's health with this wannabe doctor is a horrible mistake. Something is wrong with the picture when they use so much technology and don't actually know how to practice medicine. He may be "nice" enough to your face, but he sure isn't meant to be a doctor. Celeste- the manager does not care if she loses patients nor does she try to hide it. Her monotone and lack of empathy are scary- she seems like a sociopath. She told me there was nothing more she could tell me and she hadn't even explained anything. She doesn't apologize for her staff and their lack of competence, but her competence is worse than theirs because she is supposed to be a leader. I hope that they (whoever she answers to-nobody haha) get rid of her because she is the worst manager I've ever spoken to in my life and I work at a professional company. It wasn't just that I didn't get what I needed signed by their so called doctors- it was how I was treated and disregarded as a person. The doctors are all cowards and could not even contact me for any results or to tell me why they would not sign my forms. The blind leading the blind. I hope this review will change your mind before coming here or make you think twice. His Medical Assistant is beyond incompetent and makes you wonder how she even graduated from high school much less anything further. She's rude and hateful. She yelled at me for asking questions about test results and I didn't even provoke her. She doesn't want to do her job and they don't care if she does because they don't either. Worst doctors office ever!!! The doctors literally do not have to answer to anyone as they are their own bosses, so if they mess up don't expect repercussions. The front desk seems miserable, but I would be too if I worked with such awful people. There are 2 nice people at the front desk that are human and nice, so I am not referring to them. I did appreciate their effort and kindness through all this madness. Dr. Colgan was nice and I'm sorry I ever switched, but I had to switch practices altogether because I'm disgusted with what has transpired over the past year. If you have special needs children- run!!!! They will let your child go 5 years without recognizing there is any issues even if you bring it up. Save your health and time and don't come here!

This doctor is professional, courteous, and willing to listen to how you feel about your treatment oprions.
