List of Jack B Rentz's Reviews
Dr Rentz is amazing, he is very companionate and really has an amazing knowledge of pain and how to help those in pain. I recommend Dr Rentz to anyone who suffers from chronic pain.
Great communication, easy to schedule and make appointments, compassionate educated provider who truly wants to help his clients in pain. Office staff are also great to deal with.
My spouse is a patient who visited for pain management. There wasn't a mask in site because Dr. Rrentz believes in herd immunity. As the spouse with immune challenges what I heard is "He'll give you pain meds but he doesn't care if a deadly virus takes out you and your family".
Knowledgeable doctor who had a great treatment plan, such as physical therapy before we move to bigger options. I thought his course of treatment fit my condition and was appropriate. It is comforting to know he came up with a solid plan that didn’t send me into surgery or another doctor right away.
About 3 and half years ago my life changed forever. After a Lysis of Adhesions procedure which is supposed to remove scar tissue with chemical and a high pressure spray I woke up paralyzed sitting up in a wheel chair. I said I'm paralyzed I can't feel my legs. It was silent. Nobody spoke a word. Not even Rentz. They took me to the recovery area where Rentz checked on me an unheard of 3 times that day and I spent an unheard,of 4 hours and 20 minutes, there. Only one, nurse would speak to me and she kept tell ing me is was, just the anasteshia and would wear off. Well Rentz sent me home paralyzed and incontinate. When we got me home I could not walk so my boyfriend carried me inside where I peed all over the place and, continued doing that throughout the, evening.I could stand layer that eveni g but not not very good and,not hardly walk either. The next morni g i called Rents to let him know I'm missing myself and, barely able to stand and, ofcourse he would, not speak to me. So talked to his assistant who told me to go to the E.R. where some tests were done and I was admitted in Neuro-Trauma Unit for 8 days. I had several M.R.I.'s and was diagnosed with Cauda Equina Syndrome with clumping of nerve roots and Adhesive Arachnoiditis and given I.V. steroids to take down inflammation.Surgery was too risky. I read alot about my injuries while in the Hospital. I also had a catheder. I can't. I found, out that with this, injury if the pressure is,not taken off the nerves within 24-48 hours, the nerve, damage will be significantly worse. Rentz saw,the chemicals go into the wrong place at the time of the procedure because he uses a floroscope that shows him where to guide his needles and instruments. So even though he watched the, medicine go into the wrong place and watched the whole thing happen he knew why I woke up paralyzed and incontinate yet he,sent me home anyways to avoid an I suramce, claim. So he put my life in major jeopardy to save himself. When he should have said I saw,on the, floroscope exactly what happened and you need to be admitted right away instead of sending me home then when I'm afmurted mire delsys,in my treatment untill all tests were performed on me when he could have just admitted what happened at the beginning. Then by the time they start treating me my nerves were completely clumped together like super glued together and caused me massive, pain and alot of physical problems. After 4 days,in the,Hospital Rentz finally came to see me and he,cried and when I asked why are you crying he,said cuz,I did this to you. He admitted it buy on the report it says, everythi g went great yo cover up what actually happened. He completely lied about what happened that day. Just the opposite happened. One of the worst spine injuries one can get happened and he swept it under the rug. When he came to visit me 4 days, later in the Hospital he said specifically told me he's sorry it took so long for him to come to see me he had been on vacation. I don't believe that. I mean who goes,on faction after paralyzing one of your patients and causing a major spine cord injury? Who does that. I think he said that cuz,he wanted me to believe he had no idea how bad it really was. When the truth is that he did not want to face me after what he had done to me. I mean I was pooping the bed and everything in the hospital. It was, really had and he never said this is what's happened to you this is what you can exoect. This,is why your can't feel your bladder. This is why is hard for you to take a step ect...ect..ect. Instead he lied about the whole thing. Never said I'm sorry. Never admitted in the report what really happened. Never told the truth about it. What's crazy is,he,lied to save himself. Destroyed my life for the past 3 and half years and cost tax payers near a half a,million dollars in Medical care and counting. Because he didn't want to take responsibility for what hspoen3d that dsy. I understand that accident a happened and I did agree to the procedure after I cri3d and told him I did not feel good about it I allowed him to talk me into it. When God was trying to warn me against it. So I take responsibility for it happening but he needs to take responsibility for sending me home 4 hours and 20 minutes after it happened when he knew he should have admitted me to get the pressure off of the nerve endings. So sad that money Is so important to people. More important that someone's life. A DOCTOR especially has a responsibility care for people. Also be aware that my type,of injury is,on the rise because Doctors are doing more and more injections and the steroids were never meant to be,injected into the spine. The inj3ctions were meant to done on joints and knees. Not in your spine. The Doctors so what's called off market use of these medications and infect have warnings on the bottles saying not to inject into the spine. Its,not F.D.A. approved. For some injuries injections, might be ok but this was,my 10th invasive procedure from Rentz and my body just couldn't take anymore.I admit my Neglagance in not listening to God telling me not to do it. Why can't he admit the truth. And how is doing something so dangerous taken so lightly. I did it because I trusted, him and,I paid a high price. He destroyed the trust I had for him. I just know for the past 3 and, half years he's been living high on hog while I've been fighting for my life. Hes,been going on extravagant vacations and being praised for his work while I could hardly walk to the store or go to family get togethers. Truth is he destroyed my life in a,moment and didn't try to help me right after. It hurts,me when I think about it. Goes to show you that can't believe everything about all these Doctors that's written in their websites. You truly really never know who someone until the chips are down. He could have done the right thing and he never ever did for me.He left me without telling me he was, moving and no longer accepting my insurance. He never did. I found, out when I called to make a,new, appt with him.So he,caused this, major spine I jury then he abandoned me afyerwards. Which turned out to be a,good thing. So it's,ok cuz,it took until th3n for me to realize that yes he's the one who signed me out of the hospital the it happened. He's the one who sent me home paralyzed and incontinate. I'm doing much better now a days. I still have alot of physical problems but I am alot better than I was when he left me. I'm a fighter and I'm strong but I will never be the same because of him.
I believe the person below who wrote the positive review is a friend or relative of this doctor. I cannot believe anyone who has been a patient of this maniac for any time would write him a positive review. The first office visit, in front of my fiancee, Rentz told me I was going to be a problem patient. He had no cause to say anything like this, I had done nothing to provoke that remark, and my fiancee was shocked and felt very negatively about him..I believe that Dr. Rentz is a pampered mama's boy who cares nothing whatsoever about his patients. He is in it for the money only. He seems to only know how to write a Rx. and nothing else. If you look at him the wrong way, he tells you to "get the hel!!l out" of his office and that he is going to call the police. There has to be a better pain doctor, because he could not be worse.
Epidural steroid injections have been very helpful, and are administered well, I do not select sedation.
Lost or never received a referral from my spine surgeon. No prior authorization was ever completed. Initial appointment was ever completed after being told the prior authorization was sent. Booking out for 3 weeks. Poor treatment as a new patient, don't go here.
On every visit I had minimal waiting time. The office staff is great and very efficient. Dr. Rentz is very knowledgeable and caring.
Great staff ... spouse included! Dr Rentz is kind Competent and Amusing !

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
