Great doctor. I have seen him for years and his staff is pleasant. Everything moves efficiently. Also, he is one of the few derms that will take care of minor issues at your appointment without requiring multiple visits. Did a great job on mole removals. Didn't hurt at all.

Dr. Alter is an excellent dermatologist. Totally put our trust in him. Office ambiance, however, is terrible. Carpets, walls and chairs are filthy. Needs a serious makeover.

Was referred to Yale's Derm. Clinic and inspected by at least a group of 25 doc,s.. .no one at the time was able to diagnosis skin issue...

I went on 10/24/16 to have a few moles looked at, and removed. Long story short, Dr. Alter removed the wrong mole (on my face, too!). I was upset and started crying about this because, as I was numb, I didn't know where he was cutting until after the procedure was done and I looked in the mirror. I then went to the front desk and told them and him that he had removed the wrong thing and he proceeded to condescend me and tell me, in so many words, it was my fault that he did the wrong thing.

Dr. Alter is the most committed Physician I have ever encountered. He cares deeply about his patients. I moved to New Jersey for three years and made the trip back during that time (2.5 hours each way). He is that good at what he does!
