Augustine Lee's Online Review Report Card

Dr Lee is the best doctor I’ve ever had. He’s honest. Tells it like it is. If he says it’s going to be a very painful surgery, he’s not lying. But he does everything he can to try to make you comfortable. I had diverticulitis in my colon. He had to take out approximately 16” to get to good blood flow so it would heal well. Before the surgery I had been hospitalized twice because of it. After he did my colon resection in 2012 I’ve never had another problem. A few years after my surgery my brother was diagnosed with rectal cancer. I referred him to Dr. Lee for the surgery. He also loved Dr. Lee and to this day is still doing well. I moved out of Texas to Oklahoma in Aug. of 2019, but if I ever need this type of surgery again you can bet I’ll be driving back down to Texas for Dr. Lee to do the surgery. Thank you Dr. Lee for removing my diverticulitis and giving me my quality of life back.

Don’t let him near you , he needs a proctologist , as he is the biggest rear end I’ve ever met, very unclear and unsure what to do .

Dr. Lee is a great surgeon. Not only that but he’s kind, patient and caring. With any problems after surgery he doesn’t make you feel like a bother and is very understanding! Thank you!!

Dr Lee without doubt is a great Surgeon. He is kind, compassionate, professional and treats you with the utmost care and respect. His office staff are absolutely wonderful. I am so very grateful for his expert skills and above board bedside manner. He truly cares for his patients and shows the utmost respect in a very difficult time in your life. In my opinion it would be difficult to find anyone that could hold a candle to Dr Lee and his staff. So grateful I was Blessed to be his patient.

Great Doctor

This was hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had with a doctor. Dr.Lee was brash, and arrogant from the second he walked in the door. When speaking about my condition with me (which includes a VERY serious assault background) Dr.Lee seemed annoyed, and told me when I cried that I needed to “separate” my emotions from the physical. My rectal exam was the WORST and most painful exam I’ve ever gotten. The lube was pretty much empty and you could tell that Dr.Lee was attempting to use every last bit as possible. My bottom BLED and continues to bleed since this visit. Dr.Lee did NOT ask a female Nurse to come in during my rectal exam. He assumed who was with me was My husband and started the exam. I was so in shock and pain that I didn’t say anything. Please please please do NOT come to this Dr. I paid 200 to be ridiculed and told that my issues were “emotional” but that the situation down below was “really bad”. I will be looking for another Doctor. Females PLEASE be weary.

Dr. Lee performed emergency appendectomy on husband Tuesday night. He has a great bedside manner. My husband is better and on his way to recovery.

Dr. Lee was very nice. His office management isn't. My insurance company documents all calls from providers. Office manager, Donna, claimed she called the insurance company. I was already charged $41 for the first pre-op visit. Donna, then told me an additional $50 copay was due prior to the surgery citing that the insurance company stated that would be my responsibility. There isn't even a fee of $50 listed on the cost schedule. The insurance company said she never called. They also added, that since I had already met my individual and family deductible requirements, she would have been told no copay was due. Donna stated that if I wanted the money refunded, I would be taken off the schedule for surgery. I obliged and cancelled all services with Dr. Lee and the surgical center. Donna did refund my money. It's a shame that a moment of Donna's laziness and then rudeness, thereafter; led to thousands of dollars lost for the surgeon and facility.

I went to Dr. Lee as a referral for a Inguinal Hernia. What I appreciate is he was very thorough in his exam and explained things very well. He gave me options and had good beside manners. His staff can be a little short and staff communication could be better, is the reason for four stars.

I’d been sick for a couple of months and was told I needed surgery. I was terrified. I met Dr Lee, who was referrrd to me. Dr Lee explained my condition so well, in layman’s terms, so that I understood more about my condition. He performed the surgery, after I did more research to determine if he was the surgeon who should do it. I’m fortunate to know several physicians and executives in the medical field who gave me their unbiased opinion. I received high marks in his abilities and outcomes. I’m very happy that Dr Lee performed the surgery. The post op meetings and appointments were fantastic. His office staff was helpful and informed. Whatever he said would happen, did. I’m healed and in much better shape than I was before surgery.
