After suffering from pain for several years a much needed back surgery was performed by Doctor Jeffrey Donner of Colorado Spine Institute. I am now pain free. (With the exception of some pain at the surgery site that improves everyday). I cannot thank Dr. Donner and his team enough.

I am 76 and have had back problems all of my adult life which I managed with exercise, proper ergonomics, and weight consciousness. However in the recent couple of years, I had sciatic episodes much more often. I consulted Dr. Donner who reviewed my medical history, symptoms, and new films (x-ray and MRI's). He explained my lumbar problems in simple, straight-forward terms while showing me the areas of concern on the films. He listed my options and made a recommendation. He was patient with me taking time to think it over. He performed the outpatient surgical procedure in December of 2018. He decompressed three disc areas and inserted a Coflex (spacer) in one of the disc spaces. Afterwards I went home and required minimal prescription pain medication over the next several days. I am now almost 5 months post-operative and am doing excellently. My sciatic symptoms were gone immediately after the surgery. Dr. Donner set up home health care--physical therapy which started the day after surgery which was extremely helpful. I resumed normal physical therapy after 6 weeks. I have gradually returned to most of my chores and activities. Dr. Donner's professionalism, conscientiousness and expertise are exemplary. I was treated (I continue to have periodic followup appointments and films taken) very well and I highly recommend Dr. Donner and his staff to you if you are having spinal problems.
