These employee's are great, they really take care of the residents here.

Short staffed for the amount of patients, dirty, smelly, disorganized, and poor communication are the top of my list of complaints. I work in health care and get that we are ALL short staffed. If you can't handle the amount of patients then don't keep taking them! Being as we were cash paying, I can honestly say it was not a good value for our money for the level of care she received. When my mother died there I was given the wrong belongings and when questioned was given a disorganized weak response. When going through the "correct" belongings many things were noted missing, I was given someone else's underwear (with the patient's name inside), clothing was either stained or bleach stained, and brand new clothing less than 4 months old was missing. I left our contact info for a call regarding these issues and was never called. She never had HER shoes on, but holey shoes we've never seen, that don't fit. When we were allowed to visit in my mother's room it was dirty, smelly, and had ants crawling on the floor. Oh, and her teeth and glasses were lost, but we don't know when because she went for a while without teeth! Due to Covid we were unable to visit in person for quite a few months. SOME of the staff were very caring and took genuine interest in her comfort, but others couldn't care less and seemed too bothered to help when she was in obvious discomfort.

I was here for rehab. My therapy was fine. The nurses were nice.

I have been treating the Dental needs of the residents for the past few years. I enjoy working with the staff. They are kind, helpful and competent. I especially appreciate Anna H .the receptionist. Additionally the social workers Jamie and Samantha are a pleasure to work with.They are competent and kind .I remember the activity when the staff helped the residents with make up,hair and nails . They had their pictures taken at this activity . Everyone had a big smile on their face. I’m not sure who had more fun the residents or the staff.Thank you for opportunity to treat your residents.Dr. Bruce Greenstein. DMD

If I could give this facility zero stars I would!. Do NOT and I mean DO NOT leave Your loved one here under there care. They will neglect, abuse, and wait for your loved one to deteriorate. My grandma prior to coming to Harmony pointe was in a good condition. After I week of living in Harmony pointe her health decreased dramatically due to lack of care, supervision, and dehydration she developed while being here! A simple bladder infection that was not treated for months caused her heart to stop. I just wish I could give their loved ones the same care they gave mine. RUN FROM THIS PLACE! NURSES AND STAFF DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS!!

By their very nature, long term care centers will always have problems and people will always be able to find fault with them. Most residents did not initially want to be there and their health is often falling apart which does nothing to contribute to a cheerful nature. So, take many of the complaints listed with a grain of salt. I am an older highly experienced registered nurse; now a nursing instructor. I have good nursing knowledge and a wide basis for comparison, so I do hope you listen carefully to what I have to say about Harmony Pointe. This facility is run by caring, intelligent, experienced people who, in my opinion, do an excellent job. To accomplish this rather difficult task, requires people in administration who care and who have a real knack for hiring people to work for them who are kind and also care. That, to me, describes Harmony Pointe in a nutshell.

I'm a driver for lyft and at approximately 11:00pm tonight, April 20, 2018, I picked up a passenger on a line ride who is a nurse at Harmony Pointe Nursing Center. When I arrived at the Nursing Center with another passenger already in the front seat, there were emergency vehicles in front taking a person on a stretcher to the hospital. Nothing seemed particularly unusual.She was talking on the phone quite loudly, about a patient who had attempted suicide tonight. From what I heard, the patient then got scared when they saw the blood and decided against suicide, and the nurse was very rudely talking about the patient. She said "if he wanted to die let him die," which goes against the ethics of medical professionals. She also went on to say that "there's no better high than seeing blood, and that the sight of blood turns her on" And even later on in the conversation she said that if she were alone in the room when it happened, she would've let him die (possibly referring to the patient who attempted suicide tonight but I'm not certain), waiting three minutes until telling anybody because at that point they would surely be dead. The entire phone conversation that I heard was both extremely unethical and unprofessional. It was especially disturbing to hear all of that for a medical professional.
