List of New West Physicians's Reviews
I have been with New West Physicians for over 15 years and have always received great care. Dr. Lee retired at the end of last year and his replacement, Dr. Pereira, is a great doctor, very caring and someone who listens to his patients. The only reason I am giving this practice a 4 is because they are understaffed, so it's getting harder to make an appointment if you are not feeling well and need to see a doctor right away. I know everyone is understaffed but hopefully they will soon be able to bring more doctors or physician assistants on board.
The receptionists have always been helpful and kind. But besides that, my experiences have been nothing but horrible. I've tried to stay with this company for 5+ years, 3 of my physicians have left within those years. My recent experience, my provider was so adamant that I had COVID that she completely dismissed my symptoms and directed me towards more over the counter medications, when I needed more than that. All for my COVID tests to come back negative, just like I thought and I'm still stuck with my symptoms with no medication to get rid of them because she was so adamant about it being COVID. Definitely leaving this company.
If I could give this office a zero-star review I would. My husband had an appointment in June 2021 and had to cancel the morning of due to a Covid exposure. We had explained the situation to the office and they indicated they would adjust the fee for the no-show. Three months later we got a bill for the $75 no show with a $50 credit. They still expect us to pay the $25 balance. After numerous calls to the office we chose not to pay the balance out of principle and in return they sent us to collections. My husband did the right thing by not exposing the entire office to Covid. Please know what type of office you are visiting seeing their practices and policies are not doing everything to protect their staff and patients.
I was a patient of this clinic for 30 years (before it became part of new west) and had personable service but not the best. Recently after my Dr retired, upon my first meeting with the new Dr, I was deeply turned off. Not only was her bedside manner terrible but she clearly wanted to push pills on me. I went elsewhere and after some more curiosities and testing by my new Dr, it was clear that the pills were not the right answer. I had a condition that needed to be addressed which was causing the underlying issues. Typical experience these days causing me to really doubt any advice I am given medically.
The front office management is just not cutting it. I've called the office 4 times since Dec 2020, and on 2 of those occasions spoke with the manager, to get them to submit my vaccination to the CO Vaccination Registry. Their excuses thus far have been to blame staffing numbers due to COVID for the oversight. It's been 10 months of this same nonsense excuse and no action. It's pretty pathetic at this point.
I did my research and selected a doctor as my PCP who operated out of this place. Received physicals for a couple years and additional associated bloodwork. Service was great at that point (2018-2019), staff were courteous and I liked my doctor. In 2020, the PCP I had selected retired and there was a global pandemic, so I skipped my physical. Apparently that was a big mistake. When I called today to set up an appointment and select a new PCP, I was told that I never established care there (after 2 years of being a customer). Due to this I'm no longer considered a patient, and they're not accepting new patients. I was essentially thrown to the curb without notice. I was looking forward to staying here with a new PCP and having some semblance of continuity in medical care, but apparently that's not an option here. I'll be avoiding New West in the future and will advise others to as well.
Dr Weiss is very conscientious and caring. I got the blood results back quickly and was very satisfied with my yearly exam.
My appointments are now, of course, by portal. it is good to be able to see each other. Office responds prompttly to my calls . Have been a patient for many years.June 11 - Thurs. Was able to have an in-office visit with Tabitha - Dr. Gidday's P.A. on Monday. Very happy with that and with her responses. The personal - and recurring - contacthas helped immeasuably
Hard to review after one visit which ended with me in the ER and ultimately the hospital. I look forward to getting to know the doctor better at future appointments.
The staff are equipped and efficient in sanitizing the waiting room during COVID. They even issue fresh surgical masks to all at check-in. The staff are friendly and professional. I had a very pleasant experience at my first visit to this office.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
