List of Geoff T. Ledgerwood's Reviews
Recommend a TURP for some minor symptoms. After reading and watching his video I told the PA that I was declining the procedure, dr Ledgerwood was summoned where I feel he coerced me into getting it. Ended up 2 weeks later in the hospital with a blocked bladder, EXTREMELY painful! Now a year and half later symptoms not only worse but more of them. GET A SECOND OPINION!
I had numerous kidney stone surgeries with Dr Ledgerwood. Often stones were missed with no explanations why. Staff seemed nervous and in edge. Dr Ledgerwood's bedside manner is bipolar. Sometimes he is very pleasant, other times abrupt and rude. I switched to another practice where the urologist is very thorough and takes time to explain what needs to be done and the doctor and staff are all amazing.
Rude, arrogant and condescending.
I've been a patient of Dr. Ledgerwood for 3 years. He's straightforward, extremely knowledgeable, honest and sincere. I recently underwent prostate reduction surgery performed by Dr. Ledgerwood. His preparation of me for the impacts, recovery and benefits of the procedure were 100% spot on. His assistant Nancy was also a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Dr. Ledgerwood and his team for urological issues.
Have been a patient of Dr. Ledgerwood for 3 years. He's knowledgeable, straightforward, honest and sincere. He and his staff handled my surgery and recovery perfectly. Everything he prepared me for was 100% correct. His assistant Nancy is a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend Dr. Ledgerwood and his team for urological issues.
I had the very same experience that all of these folks that posted a ONE STAR review. Dr. Ledgerwood was condescending, rude, impatient with my questions. I had major surgery, including a nephrectomy, and after surgery, I never saw him again, he sent a PA to follow-up in the hospital and had horrible bedside manor when I did see him. I had the worst experience with this guy and I highly recommend you find someone else. Even on the day of my diagnosis, when he told me I had kidney cancer, he was in the room for a total of NO MORE THAN 3 minutes, and off he went....never made eye contact with me. I also, like everyone else, waited an hour to see him, when I did, and he spent 2 to 3 minutes with me each visit (Yes, while I had cancer). The guy has NO PEOPLE SKILL and exhibits a lack of care and compassion. Run the other way.
A superb and highly skilled Practitioner who exhibits great empathy for his patients. I strongly recommend him in the event you’re in need of his counsel and services .
The first couple of times I saw Dr. Ledgerwood, he seemed concerned with my issues. This last time he pretty much dismissed my pain. I wanted to get a test to make sure everything was okay with my bladder, but he wouldn't do it. He kept telling me that it was fine...despite my pain. He just put me on more meds. I asked him what I was supposed to do about the pain...he said I would just have to deal with it. Maybe he was having an off day, but I was very disappointed with his lack of care.
Great Doctor; saved my whole kidney when other doctors said they could not. Have seen him for 4 years now every year for check ups. Very pleased with his bed manner.
Dr Ledgerwood was a referral from a family friend of ours who had been fighting prostate cancer and other cancers in his body for nearly 10 years. My father was diagnosed with prostate cancer by Geoff. He was firm but caring with all of us. We struggled with the diagnosis and when I said to him personally as a daughter, what would you do if this was your father? He pulled his cell phone out and called the oncologist he wanted my dad to see. We were scheduled just a few days later and 45 radiation treatments would follow after everything was determined. There is no other urology office or doctor I would see but Dr. Ledgerwood or one of his associates. He is outstanding!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
