List of Robert Fitzgibbons's Reviews
I went to see Robert Emmett FitzGibbons, who proceeded to ignore every single thing I said, condescend, invalidate, minimize, and eventually he flatly denied me treatment, which will lead to much more suffering, as it’ll be another week or two to see someone else, and after waiting weeks to see him I am fatigued from constant pain and suffering with no relief. He freely admitted that I might need a surgery immediately before refusing to give me any treatment whatsoever. If you read Andrea Novell and James Filbin’s Google reviews of Robert Emmett FitzGibbons at the Orthopaedic & Spine Center of the Rockies - Longmont page, you will see a pattern with this “Dr.”, going back several years (see also: other medical review sites) - if you check Robert Emmett FitzGibbons' (DR.0032724) medical license through Colorado's DORA, you will see that he had a medical malpractice case settled against him in Colorado. This establishment employs doctors with a history of malpractice (see last paragraph). great surgeon, great experience; highly recommended
Dr Fitzgibbons has been our families orthopedic surgeon for close to thirty years. That said, he has done multiple surgeries on our family flawlessly all of which exhibited complete recovery. He and his practice continue to provide exceptional customer service and professionalism. I don’t think of him as a surgeon but as a friend and confidant who has my families best interest at heart always.
Dr. Fitzgibbons consistently does an excellent job of evaluating and diagnosing my physical condition. He was very thorough in answering my questions and explaining the next steps involved with my upcoming surgery. I am very comfortable with the upcoming procedure, and I am confident that Dr. Fitzgibbons will provide me the best care possible.
Great experience. Staff and Doctors rock.Always on time or very short wait. Waiting not bad because Dr FITZGIBBONS never rushes with me and so I imagine someone next might be waiting. I have known Dr FITZGIBBONS since me daughter was in high school approximately 20 years and been a patient of his since. All around a great guy.Dan Borys
Excellent Doctor. Understands his patients needs and is willing to go above and beyond to make sure you are able to get back to a normal routine with your life.
Actually, I would give Dr. F a 3.5. On the plus side, both times I have tried to get an appt with Dr. F, I was able to get one within a few days. On the negative side, both times I had to wait in excess of an hour for just a few minutes of his time. The first time, it was a late afternoon appt,, so I figured that he had several emergencies. However the 2nd appt was at 8:30 a.m. He didn’t apologize or give any type of explanation for keeping us waiting 1.25 hrs for 5 minutes. On the positive side, on the first appt he gave me a list of things which I could do which might delay or even eliminate the need for a knee replacement. That was very thorough. On the negative side, I had several questions for him on the second appt, and he was edging out the door so quickly that I wasn’t able to get out my questions. I am not able to evaluate him on his skill as a surgeon, as I don’t know anyone who has used him and I am currently going through his ‘check list’ of preventative choices.
Dr. Fitzgibbons explained my options well, and we made the decision to take a more conservative approach in treating my knee pain. I appreciate how he listened to my concerns and gave me choices on how to proceed.
I wanted to go to a physician who understood arthritis of the knee, gave me a thorough review of what he found in the X-rays and my options for care and treatment. Thanks

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
