My initial visit with Dr. Cooney exceeded my expectation. He took the additional time to fully understand my injury, my situation, and who I am as a person. I believe I am in the best of hands moving forward to identify the right solutions conservatively before jumping into surgery.

Dr. Cooney and his team are a well oiled machine. You can tell communication is priority. I needed help with my hip and had results the next day. It was important to me, and the team made it happen. Have scheduled hip surgery for Feb 2023 and have peace with Dr Cooney at the helm.

My name is Craig Mischke,I have owned and work a construction company for more then 25 years. I suffered for five years with a hip needing replacement and was 52 at the time I went into meet Dr. Cooney to talk about my options. He shared his experience and point of view of how he looks at what he does (a surgeon) in relation to his understanding of the world around him. He was very direct and to the point, telling me that it wasn’t a matter of “if” but “when”. Meaning he could do the replacement now considering the condition my hip was in. A week later I set up a date. I told him I only have three weeks to recover and get back to work as my hip was a tool I needed to do my job. He told me confidently that I would be. The nurse want so sure lol, but I was back to full time work on the day of the third week after the surgery. It’s a scary thing to get a part of your body replaced, but Dr. Cooney and his surgical staff were a amazingly well orchestrated team from the moment I stepped through the doors. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Cooney and his staff as a team you can trust!

It was great to find out that all aspects of my procedure will be handled in one place from consult and xrays to classes, the surgery and on to PT. Dr. Cooney was straight forward and honest. He was very busy but apologetic which was appreciated. I'm happy I chose orthopedic and spine of the rockies and Dr. Cooney.

I have been a patient of Dr. Cooney’s for a few yrs now and he has done 2 knee surgeries and a shoulder surgery on me. He is amazing!! He is so kind and listens and gives you options and doesn’t just want to do surgery right away. Also, his PA Eric Crouch was amazing and very tentative and knowledgeable. The surgery schedule team is amazing as well. They are very tentative and call you right away.You don’t feel like just a number or Hurd of cattle when you go to this office. 😉I highly recommend this practice.Marcy

My Surgery went exactly as Dr Cooney said it would, I wouldn't wish Quadracep reattachment Surgery on anyone, but Dr Cooney did a great job.

I read many bio’s when looking for an orthopedic physician and am very happy I chose Dr. Cooney. He was thorough and to the point. Very easy to talk to and my treatment has been very helpful. Highly recommend.
