List of Dale R Martin's Reviews
I saw him years ago. It wasn’t very pleasant. Could have been me or him. I left with a sour taste in my mouth. I see him tomorrow. I will find out if it was just me or him or personality differences. Will update my review after my visit. Fingers crossed. I’ve mellowed out over the years.
Dr. Martin did my rotator cuff repair 6 weeks ago. I'm 77 years old and was nervous about the whole thing. Surgery went well, not much pain at all. Recovery has been great although I have a ways to go. I'm anticipating no problems with the shoulder. Not only that, Dr. Martin has a wonderful way with patients, will answer any questions or concerns you have and spends as much time with you as you need. I can't recommend him highly enough.
Dr. Martin was so compassionate, his confidence that I could return to my "normal" like was so strong that I immediately felt that I would come out of a bad shoulder injury with a great outcome. While the recovery from this type of surgery is nothing to look forward to, the care and concern I received made it tolerable--and with a super result.
Dr. Martin is one of the most knowledgeable Ortho doctors I know. I have been working with seniors in the fitness field for over 15 years and have been keeping track of the successful surgeries and care that the doctors and surgeons in the Northern Colorado area and been giving them. Dr. Martin has always received great reviews from my seniors and I have seen success in their recovery and continued fitness. I recommend Doctor Martin to my seniors for knee & shoulder issues and in the past 2 years he has even replaced my fathers knee and my daughters ACL! I have had the pleasure of having him for my doctor recently because of a shoulder issue and he has been amazing at communicating my options and educating me on every aspect.
I had shoulder surgery on my right shoulder by Dr. Martin and Dr. Troy. The tendons was very bad and I was in a lot of pain. Dr. Martin requested surgery because it would not heal on its own and the two of them did surgery. The common surgery is with the scope but after spending time putting it together with the scope and finishing the operation, Dr. Martin realize that it may not work. So he undid the surgery and did it the old-fashioned way by cutting open the shoulder without even waking me. I commend them highly for realizing that they need to do something more than just what the common surgery would be. I had very little pain and very little discomfort. Dr. Martin called me the next day to see how I was and both of them always spent time with me for follow-up visits. It is now been five months and I am lifting weights, throwing footballs in life is back to normal the shoulder is stronger than ever and no pain. I highly recommend these two if you need surgery. Excellent excellent doctors!
Dr. Martin was very knowledgeable and thorough. He discussed my options with me and was understanding that I did not have insurance and suggested I skip a $2200 MRI that was probably unnecessary based on the physical exam. I would definitely recommend him to a friend.
He is a great surgeon, but his follow up care is horrible. He is full of himself and tends to be a jerk. I am still in chronic pain, and he often questioned the amount of pain I was in.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
