I didn’t want to leave a bad review but I feel like you should know what to expect when you go to CPH. The people seem nice enough but they just don’t perform. Here are the events that have lead me to look for another provider of health services. -A heart condition was diagnosed as a sinus infection. -An order for an immediate heart test was not sent delaying it for a week. -Another order to extend a heart monitor was just ignored. -Still waiting on a call back from last week on these issues. We’ve come to expect lackluster service at most retail but I just can’t accept it when it comes to my health.
My Husband and I drove/ booked from Grand Junction when he got off for a 3:15 appointment. We were 5 minutes late, which we called on the way and told them we were almost there. We get there and the girl behind the desk starts to hand my husband the check in pad when this young man says he's 10 minutes late and can't be seen! He came out at least 10 minutes after we where there! Yet we have to sit for 15 to get in! Very upset. Won't be back!!
This is the worst medical office I have ever dealt with, and I'm 65 years old. The office staff seems unable to follow up, including the office manager. The office manager followed up on one of three separate issues only. I'm ready to look for a new provider. It's been 2 weeks and no response to my review. I shouldn't be surprised.
The nurse and doctors were amazing , but the front desk lady on the other hand was not as kind . She was an older woman with curly hair. I went in to get checked and she was extremely rude. At one moment my cell phone wasn’t working for the check In so I went in and asked if I could fill it out insode . She rudely snapped back and said “the wifi works just fine outside ma’am there is no reason for you to sit in here” i understand because I was contagious but she had a very rude tone with everything.
My provider, Dr. Bryce Lokey, is wonderful. I'm glad I found him.
Outstanding care from check-in through nurse evaluation to seeing the Dr.. ours is Dr Wisler who has very good communication skills, is an excellent Dr and he follows up. We’ve also seen several of the other internists at the hospital and been impressed with their care as well.
Great experience
Really like Andrew Beard. He is thorough, kind, smart and pleasant work with his patients. However, the staff at Cedar are pleasant but unorganized untrained and lack the ability to think critically about how best to help their patients. They cant take messages, dont know how to read laboratory results and dont prioritize when applying, rules or when necessary to use common sense. Recently I ran out of med that I believed I had 60 more of because all of my other prescriptions were 90. So I called first thing in the morning when I realized I was out. The staff that took my call was then trying to tell me why my provider might have done what he did. Which wasnt the reason and inconsequential. Next day Friday no word from pharmacy called the clinic again reach different staff who takes my message and tells me well we ask that you give us 72 hrs to fill prescripitions, I explain I did not know this and how would I and ended conversation. Now its 3p no word. Call clinic another staff states their policy and say's and Andrew isnt here today. I get upset tell them someone needs to write this order.. Lectured again about72 hr rule. Rule or no rule use your head. Patient is out of med it will be the weekend. I came here from Denver where I went clinic that was much more busy x3 than this place. When we needed meds filled they were filled no lectures and the staff was able to think and prioritize . Either these people are not trained or not supervised but definitely detract from patient care. Clearly there must be exceptions to their 72 hour rule my guess it is a guidline not a rule and exception sometimes happen. Poor training for sure, cant read results takeblood pressure properly or get messages to their doctors.
This physicians office has really gone down hill since opening. All the good doctors leave (Dr Green, Dr Bolton) & the ones I saw Dr Whisler & Nurse practitioner Andrew Beard, don’t understand what it is like to be a patient with a chronic illness & pain treating symptoms. Health problems/ issues don’t always have a cure. I am curious as to why those two Individuals work in internal medicine if they don’t like patients who have “complicated” medical issues. The importance of a doctor patient relationship is a delicate one. The duties of medical ethics requires medical professionals to seek trust and to be deserving of it. Medical professionals should use their medical knowledge, skills, powers, privileges and immunities for the benefit of their patients. In order to meet these duties the medical provider should prove themselves worthy of obtaining a patients sensitive medical history and by building a good rapport and intimate relationship with their patient. These important conversations can make all the difference in the world. In order to encourage a patient to trust and divulge important intimate personal medical information, a medical provider should establish trust and prove themselves worthy to be deserving of it. Instead of ASSUMING the patient trusts them. Moral of the story & my opinion: stay away if your issues aren’t simple enough for the newbie doctor & nurse practitioner. And if you disagree with THEIR treatment plan for you. They dictate your healthcare to you ; you aren’t a part of your medical team & decision making. **Since my visit this Provider billed me for EXTRA TIME not contractually allowed by my insurance & has sent me to collections & refused to contact me regarding what I feel is fraudulent billing. I have filed a complaint with the Colorado Medical Board** CPH across the board is not generating good will in the Montrose Community **you have my phone # CPH **
My husband and I have been patients of Cedar Point Health for about 15 years now. Any provider that I have seen has always been knowledgeable, caring, and respectful. Andrew Beard saved my husbands life and we are so grateful that he truly cares about his patients. He takes the time to listen, acknowledge theirs needs, all while evaluating what needs to be done for the best possible care. Staff is is always polite and helpful. Cedar Point Health really cares about their patients and their community.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
