I was disappointed by the consideration given me by the front desk and the lack of thoroughness of the initial intake evaluation. I drove 30 miles in a snowstorm to get to my first appointment, went to the wrong address (went to N Townsend instead of S Townsend) and was 7 minutes late in arriving for my appointment. I was told that I would not be able to see Dr. Shelton since I was 7 min late and would need to reschedule. That seemed unfair and unduly rigid to me. As it turned out, the NP had an opening so I got 10 min with Chris, who was pleasant, but hadn't reviewed my records and did only a cursory history and physical. I had expected that as a new patient, the clinician would question me about lifestyle practices (being a senior with chronic medical issues), do a top-to-bottom exam, and counsel me about preventative screening and practices. I got none of the above. Overall very disappointed with the customer care and quality of medical care. I will not be returning.

I have only seen him once but that one time is all it took to know that he is a very attentive doctor, and cares for his patients. I see Chris a lot and he is also a great person to converse with and he seems very patient with explaining everything to us. Thank you for being a great place to visit and feel comfortable

Dr. Shelton is a no non-sense kinda doctor, but very friendly and easy to talk with / he has treated me with kindness and concern and answers all of my questions; he never appears to be in a hurry and gives you his undivided attention -- he is simply wonderful!

I went to see him in June when we moved to Montrose - he is kind, to the point, eye-to-eye communications and doesn't beat around the bush about your issues. I trust him more than the last several doctors I have seen both in Colorado, Green Bay, Seattle and Oregon - he is stellar AND 100% honest with you!!!!!!!

I have a pretty severe condition, copd, emphysema . I have been to UCLA, in Los Angeles and several other highly recognized Facilities. I am more comfortable with Dr Shelton than any of the other places I've been.
