Dr. Dwyer is incredible! My husband needed an emergency surgery and Montrose was the closest hospital to us (we are not from Colorado) and we ended up seeing Dr. Dwyer. Dr. Dwyer went out of his way to help my husband and even met us privately when his clinic was closed due to it being a holiday weekend. He took the time to show me how to clean my husband's wound, and even gave us recommendations on where to go in Colorado since we weren't from the area. I will never forget the kindness he showed my husband and I, and am truly thankful that we had him as our physician.

Dr. Dwyer is thorough and shows you exactly what's going on with your issues. In March 2022 Dr. Dwyer did a total knee replacement for me. He was wonderful and the new knee is doing great. I highly recommend Dr. Dwyer for your joint replacement needs.

Dr. Dwyer performed a hip replacement that has almost eliminated my pain and restored full mobility. I ski extreme terrain that I never thought would be possible after hip replacement.

Dr Dwyer is super gentle, listens very well, goes over and above to accommodate your needs. Even if your scared, as I was, I was absolutely ready to go after my final consult before surgery.

I can't thank Dr. Dwyer enough. When many others thought I needed a knee replacement, Dr. Dwyer did enough due diligence to recommend removing a piece of torn meniscus. I'm very happy with the results.

Excellent! Professional, matter-of-fact approach was greatly appreciated. No problems with the operation or recovery. Attention to proper gait, posture and overall mechanics of walking was appreciated as well.

Waiting five weeks for an appointment when I'm in pain just isn't acceptable. I went to another specialist who scheduled me in within 24 hours and did surgery before I would have seen Dwyer. I like Dr. Dwyer but the office staff and scheduling processes are terrible. This is a serious problem and needs to be fixed. Accordingly, the word is spreading about not going to Western Orthopaedics and considering other providers.

1st appt: He abruptly left the room with me in tears deciding if surgery was right. Follow-up: He forgot that I broke my back. Planning 2nd surgery: Refuses to take the pin painfully sticking out of my shoulder out unless I give him $600 more towards my balance. His billing department was extremely rude as well as I often could not reach them to make payment. Montrose Memorial Hospital staff members were great though.
