I am actually commenting after 1.5 years of using Dr. Barton. He is my husband's Dr. as well. We experienced a scare with my husband and sent to the hospital for a test on a Friday and Dr. Barton did not call or even see my husband until almost a week later. The office says they didnt receive five messages and then prescriptions are never called in. I would not recommend this Dr. or his nurse unless you want the run around. He also pushes antidepressants at any turn, for hot flashes and asks frequently about depression. The first visit, he was attentive and caring, but that quickly ended. If you want incapable communication and an SSRI pusher, he is the one for you. Avoid!

Although Dr. Barton listens it seems he doesn't read or remember his notes from previous visits. I feel he doesn't genuinely care as I called after a month had gone by from my blood work, he hadn't reviewed it yet.

Treatment of advanced COPD and lung cancer. Exceptional doctor/patient communication skills. Always reminded me that hospice was an ongoing option but respected my decision. His goal was not to dissuade but to provide the best care and advice based on my choice of out patient status. He is the best of the best.

Dr. Barton and his staff have been wonderful. I always feel comfortable in their office. Dr. Barton is very knowledgeable, friendly and honest.

Dr. Barton always takes time with me and is very caring and i would say he is the best doctor i have had. i had Dr. Sullinger and when he left i did not think i would get a better doctor then him and i did. So if you are looking for a good doctor for yourself or if you have a family i say yes to him.
