We love Dr. Gillespie! She is so sweet to our son and is willing to listen when I have any concerns.

I would just say that implying that a patient is a drug addict versus indicating the dangers of certain medications, i.e. driving while taking the medication does not indicate a very beneficial 'bedside' manner for a doctor.

Will not research for answer, goes with easiest diagnosis. Was misdiagnosed for 9 months, finally went to KUMC and received attention and proper diagnosis. Not every ailment can be treated with antibiotics and steroids

Dr. J. Gillespie -Gebhards is blessing. On my first visit she took a great deal of time with me going over my vast medical history (which would over when most Doctor's) . Dr. Gillespie was kind, caring, listened to my thoughts & concerns then came up with some ideas that others had not. I would highly recommend her for your PCP or other.

I primarily went to this doctor because I wanted an internal medicine doctor that could work with me on medication issues; I have a lot of side effects and allergies. I was really disappointed. Not only did she lack a lot of knowledge, but the staff at this location lacks proper etiquette and general bedside manners. Moreover, the billing department failed to give my insurance information to Physicians Reference Labs, the company they outsourced my lab work to, leading this company to place my account for collections. I had to file a complaint with my insurance company, the BBB, and the Attorney General, but I also had to involve an administrator with Olathe Health Systems. I would not recommend this doctor or office to anyone.

Very good. My wife's previous doctor retired and recommended Dr. Gillespie. Due to my wife's heart attack she has many different medical problems that needed to be monitored. Her heart condition is very rare, to the point that most MDs are unfamiliar with it. Dr. Gillespie did a great deal of research so that she knew exactly what we were dealing with.

My psychiatrist ordered psych labs to be completed by my doctor due to conflicting tests results. I attempted to schedule an appointment for the labs, and the office refused to schedule my appointment unless the doctor electronically sent the request--which she did--regardless of me having the lab request on me. I had to call my psychiatrist again for her to send the electronic request, which she did, and it took the office another week to call me back on top of the other week I waited (two weeks total). Now the office is refusing to do the tests or schedule an appointment because she already did one earlier this year, failing to take into consideration the two conflicting test results that have come back already. In addition, my insurance has no problem paying for the tests. I asked to speak to the doctor directly, since the nurse seemed to not understand the problem, and she refused to let me talk to her. Therefore, I have needed to schedule an apt for something else. Poor poor poor.

I went to Dr Gillespie with medical condtion she did not know alot about, she did alot of research and was very prompt to helping figure out what was going on. She is a very sweet person and so is her nursing staff. I highly recommend her to anyone you will be very pleased.
