Fantastic doctor. Met him through the wound clinic. He performed two arterial bypasses that probably saved my foot. He also has a great bedside manner.

Dr. Bertocchi is an incredible surgeon. He discussed exactly what was going on with my wife and what the surgery would do. He gave us enormous hope in a time that we were devastated. He took the time to talk with us several time before and after surgery and every time was a huge encouragement. We are forever grateful for the life-saving care he gave to my wife.

Couldn't have asked for a better surgeon to be working when I needed an appendectomy. Made sure I was comfortable, answered all my questions and spoke to me like I was a person, not just another patient.

Dr. Bertocchi is amazing! I was so worried before surgery because I always see pictures from other doctors that leave huge scars and things like that. This doc made such a small and clean incision on my belly for my disc replacement surgery that I don't mind it at all. It did not even hurt, which I find to be so odd! Thank you doc B!

First busy he explained all the details of the upcoming surgery. He was very positive about the outcome. Great sense of humor.

Excellent experience with Dr Bertocchi for an emergency appendectomy over the weekend.

Dr. Bertocchi performed an emergency appendectomy on me. The surgery seemed to go fine until about 5 days later when I was in extreme pain in the same location and at almost the same level as pre-surgery. At that time, I saw a PA in his office who gave me oral antibiotics told me to call the next day or go to the hospital (a Saturday) if things didn't improve. I ended up being admitted to the hospital the next day and staying for 5 days due to a very painful infection requiring 2 very strong antibiotics. Afterwards, I had a billing issue with his office that ended up going to collections because his office was out of network and my first appeal to the insurance company only paid him an in-network amount. Needless to say, this was an experience I would not wish to replicate.

Excellent surgeon. Had a hernia repair and results better than expected. Great bedside manner, and was comforting and informative. Took the time to answer all my questions. Quick and easy surgery and I'm doing great. Lots of general surgeons around, but not the quality of Dr. Bertocchi.

I told him about my numbness in my little and ring finger and he said its due to a long laying. After three months I still have this symptoms and a problem. I found out I have lunar nerv damaged from the injury.

I've had three experiences with Dr Bertocchi and his office. First, (as an aside and additional recommendation) my wife had abdominal surgery performed by one of his team (Dr Rogness). She was extremely pleased with the results and the doctor's professionalism. The second was when Dr Bertocchi happened to be the surgeon on call when I was hospitalized with pancreatitis. What impressed me most was his "wait and see" approach. In other words, he suggested only using surgery as a last resort when all other options failed. What a different and refreshing take on prior experiences I've had with other doctors (especially surgeons) who in the past had tried to instill fear as a means of rushing me into a potentially dangerous procedure (and making me feel like a was a paycheck waiting to be cashed). My visits after my hospitalization were likewise impressive and fortunately I was able to avoid surgery for this condition. Fast forward one year. It was determined by my GP that I needed to have my gallbladder removed. I contacted Dr Bertocchi's office and arranged for him to perform this procedure. Due to a snafu with my health insurance carrier, the approval process became an absolute nightmare. Special props have to be given to Valerie at his office for helping us through this mess. She deserves a medal for her hard work in dealing with the frustration of the insurance company. It is now 2.5 weeks after my operation and I am recovering quite well. I (and my wife) would like to thank Dr Bertocchi, Dr Rogness, and the fantastic staff at their office. I cannot recommend them highly enough!!!
