2 dicourtesies from this office in two days: 1. Yesterday (Jan. 13, 2021) Dr. Girard's office phoned my wife. She was unable to take the call. Message left for her to call back. She did so immediately. Ther office did not take her call. Instead, she left a message. The office did not return her call. 2. Today (Jan 14, 2021) we arrived on time for her scheduled appointment at 1030. We waited in the waiting room for 30 minutes. She was put in an exam room at 1100. After initial VS taken by an assistant, we sat in the exam room for another 47 minutes before Dr. came in. His consult was clear and upbeat. He did a good job with that, but his office organization is very faulty.

He had 2 visits with me...both brief and informative...he however is cold ...no empathy which is sorely needed...l canceled my appt...the nurse hung up on me...he sent me a letter terminating "our relationship" said l wasted his time and resources...he was paid for his time and resources by ins and Medicare...has a real high opinion of himself..wouldnt go there for anything...

Dr. Girard is the BEST ! I was late stage B.C. in 2013 ...he diagnosed, prescribed treatment & did surgery with success! Almost 6 years later I feel great and continue to be cancer free. I will always recommend Dr. Girard !

I consider Dr. Stephen Girard a Top Notch Doctor and Surgeon. I had a very bad cancer and Dr. Girard was quite concise in his diagnosis. My condition was a challenge. With his expertise he directed me to a team and I had all the right care and attention. He is professional, knowledgeable and certainly caring. I had complete faith in his ability and he is an expert whom I have the highest respect and esteem for. He is my Hero ... He saved my life :)

While I have confidence in Dr. Girard's ability as a surgeon, I felt that he was more a "phantom surgeon". In and out of surgery w/o explaination, how are you, or a pleasant bedside manner. He always seemed in a hurry to get on with the next appointment maybe? Made me feel dumb about my condition and an attitude of "don't worry, I know what I'm doing".

I was extremely pleased with Dr. Girard. Luckily, a mammogram caught a early cancer and Dr. Girard, along with Jim Kramer and St. Mary Corwin took prompt care of me.
