List of Solvista Health's Reviews
I brought my international healthcare seminars back home to Colorado in 2013 and chose Chaffee county as the place to go virtual and build the new system for children and families. Why did I chose Chaffee County after driving my RV all over my home state? Simple answer, it's all about water!!!! Knowing healthcare practitioners around the world needed a place to rest, I knew this was the place. I left Colorado in 2005 after jumping from my husband of 22 years car. He had been using road rage as a way of scaring me and my sons into silence. The domestic violence system is designed to make one family member wrong and one family member right. We need to rehab the rehabbers. This is 2022. My former husband pushed recreational cannabis through town hall in BV. Duff Lacy is connected with Karen Lacy and we (my former husband and I) met them in Colorado Springs in 2002. If you are a member of this community, you know what happened between Duff and Karen preceding the pandemic. I am mentioning this because the current system is completely corrupt. Karen Lacy owns a health care practice in BV and she monitors sobriety with the equipment she learned about in Colorado Springs in 2002. One of the basic requirements for healthcare practitioners is to understand what prescription drugs are and how they relate to a 28 day ascension cycle (also known as fertility). My sister, a medical assistant died on the streets because of believing in "meds". When my former husband met with Duff Lacy and got recreational cannabis approved, he did it thinking this plant is a drug. I am ashamed of him and of Duff Lacy. What about Suzanne Morphew? What about her? How is her murder related to George Floyd? Sol Vista is the place people are sent when they can't breath. Sol Vista needs an upgrade. #icantbreatheTime to listen!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With all of the talk about how we need to create more access to behaviorial health care and remove barriers to care for mental health services, Solvista has opted to do "open access scheduling" for establishing care. So, you get emailed all of the paperwork to get enrolled (not sure what happens if you are homeless, without internet, computer illiterate, etc., I guess it just becomes another barrier to care) and complete and return that and you are enrolled. Then, you are able to call on Tues, Wed, or Thurs morning and cross your fingers that there is an opening on that same day that also fits your schedule so you can be seen for an intake appointment. You cannot schedule ahead of time, it has to be done this way. So, I called this morning to get my daughter scheduled and I get the message on the Canon City office's line which states to leave a message and they will return your call the next business day. I left a message saying I was trying to schedule an open access appointment for the same-day, not sure how that is going to work if they aren't returning calls until the next day. They did call back relatively quickly and explained that they have meetings on Wed. mornings, so that is why the message said that. The staff member was very polite and kind and apologetic. But, hey, why not have meetings on days when there is no open access scheduling? Or after lunch when people aren't trying to call and get a confusing message saying their call will be returned the next day after being told multiple times about this "same day" intake scheduling requirement? They then tried to transfer me to the Salida office, as that is where we live. There was no one available, so I'm told that they will call me back hopefully "within the hour" and advised that if I don't hear back in the next hour or so I should just call back and start it all over again. I did get a call back from the Salida office pretty quickly, and was told that they are ready to go for the intake RIGHT NOW. Now, maybe I misunderstood in all of these conversations or maybe it wasn't explained properly (I'm certainly willing to accept that I could have misunderstood this bizarre system), but they tell me that they are ready to do the intake now, at this moment. I'm trying to get this intake done for my daughter who is not at my house at this moment and won't be back until about 11. So, I tell them this and clarify that my only options is to call back when we are sitting here ready to - POSSIBLY - go, and hope that our call can get from Canon City to Salida and that in that same moment a counselor will be available for an intake appointment? Yes, that is exactly the expectation. And, all of this for a Zoom appointment. I could have done a Zoom appointment with 100s of online counseling programs rather than wait for our schedule to jive with Solvista's at some indeterminate point of time in the future when the stars magically align to do a Zoom appointment. I'm an RN and my most recent history has been in care management and care coordination. My job is to help people receive the follow up care that they need with the specialty clinics where they need to be seen, and assist them with navigaing various health care systems. If I can't understand this scheduling system and make it work, I promise....there's something wrong. Additionally, my daughter is not in crisis. We are seeking proactive mental heatlh care to address gaps in conflict resolution and life skills. If we were a family on the border of crisis, this inabililty to get care with the right person at the right time would have thrown us into a tailspin. The Salida office did say they would call back to see if they could schedule something in the future to avoid this "maybe we can do the intake when you call back, maybe we can't" scenario. Before the called back, I scheduled with on online counselling system for this afternoon. I wish I had just done that last week.
2 stars because the staff I have been able to speak with are very kind and do everything they can to be helpful. Otherwise, this would have been 1 star. Here is my issue. With all of the talk about how we need to create more access to behaviorial health care and how we need to remove barriers for people to receive care for mental health, Solvista has decided that they will do "open access scheduling" for establishing care. I'm not sitting at my house all day with my daughter waiting for Solvista to hopefully jive with our schedule at some indeterminate point of time in the future when the stars magically align to do a Zoom appointment. This is the CRAZIEST system I have ever encountered. A little background, my profession is in nursing and my most recent history has been in care management and care coordination. I literally get 100s of people set up with care outside of the agency that I work for (which is typically the refering agency). My job is to help people receive the follow up care that they need with the specialty clinics where they need to be seen, and assist them with navigaing various health care systems. If I can't understand this scheduling system and make it work, I promise....there's something wrong. I've dealt with a lot of different systems. This is by far the worst. Additionally, my daughter is not in crisis. We are simply seeking proactive mental heatlh care to address some gaps in conflict resolution and life skills. If we were a family on the border of crisis, this inabililty to get care with the right person at the right time would have thrown us into a tailspin. The Salida office did say they would call back to see if they could schedule something in the future to avoid this "maybe we can do the intake when you call back, maybe we can't" scenario. In the time it took for them to call back, I scheduled with on online counselling system for this afternoon and wrote this review. I didn't answer the call back so not sure what they came up with. I want to be very clear....my review is NOT a reflection on the staff at Solvista. Every person I spoke with did the best they could to help me within the confines of this ineffective system. Aside from that, my advise to Solvista is DO BETTER!
What an extremely heartless place for Sol Vista to be - within a hospital complex that invaded a neighborhood and robbed those residing nearby of quality of life for 20 years now. The hospital invaded a wetland and has been running generators and construction equipment since they moved in at the cost of the sanity of their neighbors. The facility has been repeatedly responsible for overnight generators and lights and night construction. The facility also ran with PVC pipe for a boiler and ignored repeated complaints from neighbors about a noise that would arise from such a thing. The very hospital Sol Vista is connecting itself to in Salida is responsible for causing the issues they claim to be here to help with. If you want to claim to help a community, then attaching yourself to a profiteering facility that eliminates quality of life and causes health problems to residents by eliminating their coping mechanisms and tossing their valid complaints in the trash to take their vacations is a really heartless thing to do. Heartless of the Rockies: Salida Colorado where everyone profits on the harm they do. If you ask these guys for help they won't stop the harm they will blame you because you are upset that a facility that claims to do good is harming you physically yet none of them have the care for others to simply put you down when they legislate and condone the torture they cause you in your own home with their loud, polluting, unfriendly facility that has invaded your peaceful neighborhood to profit on your harm.
Jen was always very kind...Heather...not so much! If you get a good counselor that's not judgemental or accuse you of things you aren't doing then its not too terrible of a place. Thanks Jen for always being so kind!
All of the staff along the way were wonderful to work with. Facility is clean, safe, and comfortable, both for patients and their loved ones.
I have been with solvista for about 9 months they are ok. I have had problems with some of the staff. There was this lady named Brendai or brenda something along those lines she treated me very rudely and yelled at me till I made a decision. The other people I have met are really nice. They do have a bad habit of not calling back. I have had a few cases when I called them and I was told they would call me right back they never did. It is ok over all but there needs to be some work on what goes on.
The people who work here all have a heartfelt concern for everyone who walks in theirdoors. They became more like family helping me navigate through a very rocky road in my life. Really wonderful people that are dedicated to finding the resources people need no matter what you have happening in your life.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process.
