MIchael N Ferrandino's Online Review Report Card

My experience with Dr. Ferrandino has been extraordinarily positive. He has listened intently, responded with superb expertise, and taken time to answer all of my questions and concerns. My prostate cancer has apparently been totally resolved as a result of his surgical skills.

I see Dr Ferrandino. He's new to the practice and new to Colorado too. IMHO Colo Uro Assoc are lucky to have him join the practice. I found that he's experienced and well informed. He's also dedicated to his patients and a great bedside manner (especially considering that this area of medicine can be a little delicate to talk about). I do wish his office staff was a little more proactive about declined or troublesome outside tests that Dr Ferrandino orders. Please let the patient know what's going on.

1. Charged a specialist copay, but saw only his physician's assistant. 2. Kept waiting never less than 35 min. Once I waited 2 hours! 3. Because I hadn't seen him for over a year (drugs were working and he told me to call if anything changed) he refused to see me on an emergency basis after I experienced an all-night episode of severe bladder pain. He told me that I was now a "new patient," and the soonest he could see me was two weeks away. After I described my night of pain, which I put at an 8 out of 10, he agreed to see me in 5 days. Level 8 pain for 5 days! Gee, thanks a lot. That was my last contact with his office.

Still dealing with the consequences of his poor care

Worst experience. Living with the neglect and poor care of this doctor.

When a portion of your kidney needs to be removed due to a MRI report stating “suspicious for renal cell carcinoma” you want the best urology surgeon around. We found the best in Dr.Ferrandino. My husband was referred to Dr. Ferrandino by our pain management physician who we trust completely. At the conclusion of the surgery consult, we felt confident in Dr. Ferrandino’s qualifications as a surgeon. My husband had a portion of his left kidney removed 3 days ago. Today he is experiencing minimal pain. Skill and a firm knowledge base is the number one qualification to look for in a surgeon, but Dr. Ferrandino has much more than that. He cares. He is organized and anticipated my husband’s needs and was prepared with solutions. He interacts well with the hospital staff and has established a great repore with them. Professional, knowledgeable, caring, personable. I have been a RN for decades and let me tell you, this surgeon is top notch

Loved Dr. Ferrandino. He explained my options very well, has incredible bed side manner and made me feel at ease. He did a partial nefretomy on my right kidney and then five weeks later removed a ten millimeter stone from the same kidney. It was a pleasure having a doctor who is professional, relatable and just is a really genuine person. I would strongly recommend him to anyone as a patient.

Dr Ferrandino was recommended to me by a very trusted Dr when he found a renal cell carcinoma on my left Kidney. I could not be more pleased with his knowledge, expertise, skill, and communication. I had a partial nephrectomy of my left Kidney and my recovery has been phenomenal due to his skill as a surgeon.

Dr. Ferrandino had a lot of great questions about my complex history. He was thorough and kind throughout my visit. After dealing with other doctors in the same field, I can say Dr. Ferrandino is the pinnacle in Urology.
