List of New West Physicians's Reviews
I have been a member here for a long time, 15+ years. I have finally had enough! Call wait times are long. You are asked to be there 15 minutes prior to your appointment, but sit in the waiting room for at least 15 minutes after scheduled time. Billing department doesn't know what they are doing and was double billed several times, and they refuse to rectify their mistake. Other family members have had horrible experiences as well. We are ALL leaving!!
Be ready to be on hold for 15 minutes before even speaking to anyone. This happens every time me and my husband call. Maybe they need a extra receptionist, or to fix their phone answering system.
Great family physicians
My experience WAS great. I loved my doctor whom was Dr. Coomes. I called to make an appointment one day and I was told that I had a bill that wasn’t paid. They gave me the number so that I can pay it since I had too before I could book an appointment. Anyway, I did it immediately and and then called back to make my appointment and they told me I was no longer able to be seen there anymore. Let me tell you, I call all the time trying to get seen. I just learned that it was the doctors choice. I was told that the doctor wants to get paid and that it was their decision. I explained numerous times that I never received a single bill and if I did, I would have paid it! It was close to an $80 bill. I was going through a divorce and turns out, they were sending it but they were sent to my ex husbands house!!!! It’s a shame that the doctor only cares about the money. I really liked her and the other doctor I saw (which is who my ex husband saw) and I’m being refused to be seen because a bill that I had no idea about and the second I found out about it, I PAID IT!!!! I guess they’re not good doctors after all.
Good care once you get in, but phone hold times can be long and phone staff or operator(?) confused, stating they don't have a Westminster location. Later, after some run-around, explained that they are indeed located in Westminster and don't have a Broomfield location. Hope that helps.
I have been going to this office for over 20 years. I think I have seen every doctor and PA here and they are all wonderful....seriously the best staff of doctors you will ever find. They have seen my dad through a heart attack and have treated EVERY illness I have ever had. The nurses are great and I have to give a special shout out to the lady that draws blood for any labs. So why two stars? Well it is all because of one crappy experience with a receptionist today. So like I said I have been a patient a long time. I have not always had insurance, and I felt they were always still fair with billing and coding. Since they are so great I have referred friends in the past and I called today to just double check the typical office visit fee for someone without insurance (I sent a friend to them about a year ago and at that time the out of pocket fee to see a PA was $45 and to see the doctors ranged from $65-85).The lady that answered the phone was clearly a graduate from some cheap technical university. She couldn't speak proper English and it seemed like she was confined to some sort of script. She kept telling me that an office visit (we are talking a 15 minute visit with a doctor or PA) would be $66 to over $300. That really suprised me so I asked her (repeatedly) why there would be a need to get up to $300+, and getting frustrated that she kept interupting me with the same answer. Basically tjat she didn't know. So I tried a different approach...I explained that my referral really just needs a doctor to review some test results for labs she has already had done (this week at an urgent care)and discuss the results with her, the lady said she couldn't quote that to me since she doesn't know, and if my friend walked in with a broken leg then it wouldn't be just $60. By this point the lady has thrown around "axe" instead of "ask" and lots of other distracting mispronounced or misused words to the point where it is hard to figure out what she is actually trying to say. So I tried again...I explained about the referral I had sent before and the standard charge of $45 and I asked if that policy had changed. She ignored my question and said she again couldn't answer that "cuz" she can't quote fees over the phone. By this point in the conversations I was done and hung up. I understand the line "I can not quote you for services over the phone". I manage a dental office...so I get it. What ticks me off is having someone who can not speak be your first point of contact for your new and existing patients. This is a nice office in a high income area...find someone that can articulate. If I want to go somewhere and have people "axe" me questions I will go to walmart. Also have a policy in place for your patients and their referrals. When I said "referral" your response should be "that's wonderful, we would love to help your friend. What questions can I answer for you". Part of that question you should be able to answer is why there is such a huge range for the price. If a patient in my office needs an extraction I would say it's $49 for the exam and xray. Then the extraction is between $100- $300 depending on the tooth. I would then ask questions that help me figure out which end of that scale the patient might be on. Oh a full formed tooth that is loose...probably closer to $100. A tooth that is broken already and you can't really even see it..well that's going to be more complicated so plan on $300. Medical office follow the same basic guideline...you see a patient and you charge a medical billing code. What do you charge out the first time you see a patient and what is the fee? That was my question! I will still continue to see the doctors and PAs here, one bad receptionist can't ruin the years of trust I have in the doctors, but you lost yourselves a new patient and my future referrals until you fix your receptionist.
Absolutely love this office. Dr Yeash is one the best doctors I have ever seen. He is amazing with the kids also! My son calls him his best friend. The staff is sweet and helpful. Highly recommend.
Love Dr Yeash! All of the front office staff is really friendly when we go in as well.
If you are going to call these guys you better be ready to wait at least 12 minutes. The doctors are great but the reception is not worth it. They are always rude and make you wait forever! I've been going here for 25 years and I am done.
Doctors, yeah. Staff, No!They make you wait on hold for at least 10 minutes, they're not accommodating at all, they're rude over the phone if you have questions, & they're no comforting whatsoever! I like the doctors, but they're hardly ever there. So then you're dealing with the nurses who could care less about a scared child receiving shots. I'll be switching facilities here soon.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
