Peter Hansen's Online Review Report Card

had two conversations with Dr Hansen receptionist over the phone prior to my upcoming physical. both times she was abrupt and rude. This physical was to be my first appointment with Dr Hansen but based on my experience with his crank of a receptionist I canceled my appointment; hate to think she will be the person I would have to speak to in the future.

Dr Hansen and his staff have been the BEST, and have ALWAYS been the best since I started using them a few years ago. They have gone above and beyond for me several times. Dr and staff have always been friendly, quick and to the point!

Dr. Hansen is great. I have been seeing him since 2005. Always good advice and calls it like it is. I appreciate his knowledge and guidance. I recommend him whole-heartedly.

I don’t know what happened to this guy. After being a good doctor and seeming to care about his patients for years, he’s all of a sudden turned into a crotchety old man yelling at the kids to get off his lawn. Prob time to hang it up doc. If you’re looking for a primary, keep looking.

If you have ever had more than 5 drinks in your life, I would strongly recommend a different Dr. I'm no saint, but all 3 of our appointments were an AA type scolding the entire time. When I asked multiple times why I needed to stop medication I have been on for 5+ years; his only answer was "it's a controlled substance" Over and over. Not one bit of medical reasoning to back it up. Some of his advice was welcomed. His inability to focus on other concerns, give medical information instead of personal views, and demands that I change my life to fit his beliefs were unwarranted and unprofessional. A good Dr. that cares, listens and is intelligent can be hard to find. I did NOT find it here.

This was a new patient physical and I was not impressed at all. He did not ask what prescriptions I was taking and why, he didn’t ask any family history and the exam was basically non existent. I’m sure he’s fine for minor problems but I would not seem for anything serious.

Worst. Doctor. Ever. Misdiagnoses, is Very condescending and is dangerously unorganized and pompous. If I had not gotten a second opinion, I would have lived my entire life thinking I had MS. His carelessness when making very serious diagnoses is negligent. This man should not be practicing medicine. I would NEVER EVER recommend this doctor. Ever.

I saw this doctor because my regular doctor wasn’t available. I had developed a rash and wanted to know what caused the rash and what could be done. This doctor saw that I am currently being treated for Lyme disease and said, “You are taking a lot of stuff.” When he realized I wasn’t willing to stop the treatment that saved my life he said he would not see me again. The diagnosis was eczema and his opinion was that it is caused by all the “stuff” I’m taking and said it couldn’t possibly be food (I have recently changed my diet and lost 13lbs) and would not discuss the situation further. Turns out it is food related and once I stopped eating a particular food the rash went away. I’m glad he fired me. I never want to see him again. Would not recommend him. Very closed-minded, not even willing to dialogue about how current treatment is helping or other alternatives to steroid creams.

Dr. Hansen is respectful, has eye contact, listens, and seems concerned. He is an excellent practitioner. I have acquaintances and friends who so miss him at the Idaho Springs Clinic. So many in our mountain communicty are very displeased with Dr. Byrne. He is disrespectful, especially with women, according to patients I have talked to who will not return to Centura's Idaho Springs location unless we can see another physician. Can you please tell me where he is now practicing.

Dr Hanson is the best Dr I have had in my adult life! Kind, smart and funny! Love this guy!
