Max Moncayo's Online Review Report Card

Got 3 wisdom teeth pulled out and had to get a bone graft in as well. My primary dental office had him over the weekend and must I say, he did a wonderful job. Leading up to it I was sent an informational packet on what is expected to happen and what to prepare for, such as no alcohol or NPO hours prior to the surgery. When the day of the surgery arrived, the operation went so smooth. I sat down, was asked how my day was doing. I was then plugged in, vitals checked. Before I even realizes it, I woke up with my teeth gone and was sent on my way. The recovery went really well for me, which was a result of his skills and skills alone. That general anesthesia doesn't play though. I can only imagine the tomfoolery I caused in that office on the way out. Lmao.

I was referred by my primary dentist to Dr. Moncayo. My right lower wisdom teeth got infected and it was extremely painful. I went to my dentist at The Dental Office on Soquel Canyon in Chino Hill, my dentist prescribe me the antibiotics to subside the pain and infection and made appointment for wisdom teeth extraction surgery with Dr. Max Moncayo for 3 weeks later. On the day of the surgery, I was super nervous. First of all, I read a lot of the scary nerve damage and post surgery complication stories online. 2nd, the general anesthesia freaked me out, I never had any surgery or general anesthesia in my entire lifetime. Dr. Moncayo was very honest with me that I had 30% chance to have nerve damage since my lower wisdom teeth already grew into nerve, but it seems I had no choice, any wait could make it worse. Dr. Moncayo and his assistants were very nice and assured me nothing to worry, I was in good hand. I only had short conversation with Dr. Moncayo, but I felt he was professional and I trusted him. I decided to go ahead to get the extraction done. I passed out really quick after nurse gave me IV sedation, the next thing I knew was the surgery had already done. It was painless, not only the surgery, even after anesthesia wear off. I was expecting a big pain after surgery but no pain no swollen at all, I didn't need any pain medicine at all during recovery. Best of all no nerve damage. I was so lucky to have Dr. Moncayo to perform the surgery, could't tell how happy I was. Thank you doctor and your team, you guys are amazing!

No one 'wants' to be in that chair, but if you do find yourself in need, I strongly recommend checking out Dr. Max before you start treatment anywhere else. Recently I found myself in need of Dr. Max's services at Palisades Surgical Arts and I am so thankful that I decided to see him for a second opinion. While the news wasn't the best, I knew I was in good hands. I can only speak for my experience, and I can say that the procedure was faster than I expected and the recovery time was half of what I was told to expect. Sometimes you end up in the surgeons chair, make sure it's the right one!

Very thankful I was referred here from a good friend as I was in urgent need and experiencing a lot of pain from a wisdom tooth infection. I was told by a previous dentist that he could not extract my wisdom teeth due to the roots being on the nerve which would cause nerve damage. He recommended a different procedure and quoted me an outrageous price. That evening I was referred to Dr. Max Moncayo who's assistant reached out to me that evening and scheduled everything for the next morning. I ended having all 4 wisdom teeth extracted without any nerve damage.The office is lovely which is a great benefit but I care most about the expertise and working with a dental team I feel i can trust and they are that. Dr. Moncayo spoke to me and answered all my questions. He was very comforting and so was everyone else. Front desk is amazing as well. I worked with Jessica and Dr Carly as well.Post-op, I feel great! Extraction was done and the entire process was seamless. Pain from extraction was very minimal as well so he knows what he is doing! Lucky to have been referred to him.

Quick and easy! Calm and effective! Thorough and diligent! Highly recommend for oral surgery.

Our family cannot recommend Dr. Moncayo enough! He is the epitome of professionalism and his standard of care for his patients is unmatched. Following years of braces we learned that our high school son needed jaw surgery. We chanced upon Dr. Moncayo through our local paper and decided to give him a try. From our first contact all the way through the actual surgery and post-op, Dr. Moncayo and his staff were responsive and willing to tailor their approach to work with our timeline. Given Dr. Moncayo's board certifications and military surgeon experience, we knew we were in good hands. But what really set Dr. Moncayo apart from others during this process was his communication style and transparency. He coordinated many aspects of the process leading up to the surgery with our orthodontist and family physician, keeping us abreast every step of the way. No silly question or bothersome concern ever went unanswered, which proved very reassuring during the recovery process. We highly recommend Dr. Moncayo and cannot say enough good things about this practice!

I had 2 lower wisdom teeth extracted , Impacted /cyst attachedon one very close to the nerve . A very difficult procedure .Dr . Moncayo explained everything to me along the way fromthe Initial consultation to the actual procedure and after with followup instructions . It's been 10 days and I basically pain free .Would highly recommend Dr. Moncayo if you need a highly skilled oral surgeon.Ron M . Oak park
