Dr. Trout, Very few people come through on their word. Empty promises are what we were used to. You gave us hope. After 5 years of trying to conceive, 7 miscarriages, and countless financially ridiculous tests by other physicians, you and your team helped us become and STAY pregnant. We are thankful for your team, Angela, Natasha, Malorie, and yourself. You helped us through the tears, the fears, and disheartening moments. We now have a beautiful baby boy because of you! Thank you so much!
I had a regrettable experience with Dr Susan Trout. Post suffering an ectopic pregnancy , I was referred to her for further treatment. Initially, I agreed to the innumerable visits she expected from me along with conducting frequent blood tests, USG and few other tests on a daily basis. Later, after almost 68 months I realized her reasonably expensive treatment was of no use to me as my condition did not show any improvement. When I told her about this, she seemed quite indifferent about it and suddenly informed me that I may have a polyp which may be a cause for concern. However, after another test she realized it was a mistake. What vexed me was that she did another test and this time confirmed that there was a polyp which needed to be removed surgically. She clearly informed me that this type of polyps neither recedes nor can it be treated by medicine. I sought time for this operation but she kept reminding me that I was making a wrong decision and this may harm me. That is when we decided to go for a second opinion from a reputed doctor who confirmed there was no sign of any polyp. It was actually a blessing in disguise as my wifes condition has improved since then as our new doctor is way more knowledgeable and supportive. Based on our unfortunate experience with Dr Susan Trout , it felt as if she was more interested in the financial aspect of our visits rather than providing value or making a difference to my wifes condition.
Shes a great doctor and listener. She acknowleged our concerns and helped us come up with a plan after we had our miscarriage. Ive recommended her to other couples that are struggling to conceive.
I believe this doctors office waste your money. They do not know what they are talking about half the time and definitely no order. They do not run simple baseline test from the start. After going to another doctors office and finding out their protocol. This office is not in the business to be helpful or considerate of their patients. I definitely do not recommend them. Also look at their success rate.. Rates are not there. That is the most important part when looking for a good clinic. I finally learned this after wasting thousands of dollars.
My experience with Dr. Susan Trout was a nightmare. I was referred to her by my OB/GYN as she is specialist of Endometriosis. Dr. Susan Trout didn’t take further exams or checkups to clearly understand and confirm my situation. She thought that it is fibroid and a simple laparoscopic surgery will do it. During my surgery, the doctor found she misdiagnosed my condition, and decided to give me a c section without informing my family. My husband was told that the surgery is within 2 hours, but he waited and waited without any status report and notice until the end of surgery after more than 3 hours. Days after I was discharged from the hospital, I had to go to ER because of surgery related infection. After the horrible surgery and painful aftermath, I was forced to deal with large outofnetwork bill because she used the outnetwork anesthesiologist which we were not told of before the day of surgery. It was a very painful experience that I should not have had to go through. Throughout this surgery, I experienced torturous pain, only to be reverted to a state worse than I was originally. Compared to the doctor of my second treatment, she did not care about her patient and does not like to spend time on details. In addition, her stitches left much larger scars when compared to similar surgery I had from another doctor.
Dr. Trout is very straightforward and professional. She gave us the info as needed, but did not offer extra advice or info unless we asked. This style worked for us. Rose was friendly and helpful, while being efficient and professional. Maria and Heidi are exceptional medical assistants. They are excellent at their jobs and made me extremely comfortable when I had anxiety around my visits. Sharon is also an extremely skilled nurse. Her ability to address my concerns while giving me the information I needed put me at ease throughout this process. She was always available and supportive.
I worked with Dr. Trout for 4 months. She recommended a protocol and after 4regimes of the same protocol suggested donor eggs. During one of the procedures, she mistakenly poked me in the leg with a needle. After working with another Doctor (and another protocol), I became pregnant after 3weeks. I am the happy mother of two 8yearolds. So much love and luck to you all.
We went to CRE after multiple miscarriages. Dr. Trout was easy to talk to, and was able to diagnose the issue. Yay! We were ready to move forward with IVF at that point. However, as we proceeded with this clinic, it became evident that the office was very disorganized. There was a lack of communication between the staff, and I was always having to remind nurses, assistants, and office staff of major details pertaining to my treatment plan... make or break sort of details like the fact that we needed PGD as part of our IVF cycle. This disorganization shook my confidence in the clinic. I went with my gut and talked with other fertility specialists in the area. I ended up going to another clinic, and had a successful IVF / pregnancy on the first cycle. Dr. Trout had planned a fresh transfer; something the two other doctors said was unusual and advised against when doing PGD with IVF. I feel fortunate that the only thing we lost at CRE was time. I dont like leaving a negative review and like Dr. Trout personally, but truly feel we would not have been successful at CRE. It was a stressful and frustrating experience.
We went to Dr. Trout for fertility issues. My husband has low motility and morphology. I have PCOS and Lupus. Dr. Trout recommended 3 IUIs that did not work. Later we found out that my husbands numbers were too low to be successful with anything but IVF. After the first cycle, I could tell something was wrong. Between each cycle, we requested another appointment with Dr. Trout because I felt sicker and sicker. Each time, her nursing staff said we could not meet with the doctor until after the 3rd cycle. Now, a number of months later, babies are still on hold because I am experiencing the worst lupus flair of my life, brought on by the changes in Estrogen for IUI something that is pretty common with autoimmune disorders.
We struggled for years with infertility. Other doctors tried to push into expensive treatments that we didnt want. Dr. Trout listened to us and got us pregnant without costing a fortune!
I met Dr. Trout a month after I turned 27, we had been trying for a year. We discovered I have some birth defects that affected my fertility, unicornate uterus, one Fallopian tube and two immature ovaries. Dr trout said I had a 2% chance of getting pregnant naturally and suggested moving straight to ivf. So we did, first time was a bust, two eggs as I didnt respond to the meds, negative, she said now we know what to do lets do it again, ok youre the doctor. In the meantime she told me she had a patient that did not have any eggs when she went to retrieve and was convinced the person did not take the trigger shot, seemed weird to me why would a person not take it after the investment made this far. Anyways, second cycle, loaded me up on meds. I had about 19 follicles in memory serves, went in for the retrieval and dr trouts collegue did it. Woke up and was told my a nurse that my follicles were empty and they got two poor looking eggs. No further explanation, they took me down to my car and sent me home. The doctor didnt even come it to talk to us. We got home and called because we just couldnt understand how the physician wouldnt have talked to us. She said she almost had them wake me up to ask me if I took the trigger shot, are you freaking serious. First, ask my husband in the waiting room he gives me the shots in fact over 80 in one year. And really, you just assume thats the problem? Needless to say the cycle failed. I went to ccrm and conceptions for 2nd and 3rd opinions. Their was new research released about 6 months prior stating that women with levels comparable to mine respond poorly the meds especially the trigger shot. It would have been as simple as giving me double the dose. Both places had completely different plans for me than Dr. Trout and stated they would redo all of dr, trouts testing because they were familiar with her work. Go to ccrm or conceptions, trust me. Oh and my 2% turned into a natural pregnancy and now I have a perfect two year old son and we decided to start to try again and were pregnant literally our first month, naturally. Dr. Trout clearly doesnt stay up to date with current research and I hope she reads this and considers to put forth more effort in this area. The information is literally on conceptions website. Dr. Trout, I sincerely hope you dedicate yourself to making more of an effort to stay up to date. I attached my name, feel free to review my file as we both know more of my birth defects will be surfacing and I hope they receive a higher level of care. Please dont apologize for my experiences and my treatments that were unsuccessful, just do a better job for your future patients. I am one of the lucky ones who has managed to have two 2% babies.
My husband and I met with Dr. Trout and her staff to discuss fertility treatment and initially had a good experience. The staff was courteous and friendly and we were treated with respect. We went through an initial fertility work up and then X rounds of IUI without success. Our next step was to start IVF. We met with Dr. Trout and asked about our chance for success. I am under 34, so I was quoted a success rate by the doctor, from her own lips of 70% success rate of a live birth. We were hopeful. I was then presented with several payment options by the IVF nurse one which packaged several cycles together to make it more affordable. I did my research and found that Dr. Trouts success rate in women my age was no near 70% it was 17%!!! She had quoted us the success rate at another clinic (CCRM) and not her own! We were astounded someone could be so deceitful. I confronted the clinic if this information was correct and they conceded that indeed it was. For anyone considering IVF through this physician I would encourage you to look at the public data and compare to other surrounding clinics prior to making a big investment. Ultimately, we went through CCRM and had success with our first round of IVF and couldnt have been happier that we switched.
After two miscarriages, I intuitively knew it was more than bad luck so I went to Dr. Trout to run a work up on me. They were able to get me an appt asap! She also found that my miscarriage wasnt 100% complete, after my OB telling me I was in the clear. She also found a polyp that the OB didnt find. So after a little surgery and a little bloodwork finding out a few things wrong with me, I was pregnant in 3 months. Great bedside manner, willing to chat about concerns, didnt dismiss you when you did your own research. Even had an oncall nurse on the weekend which was unexpected. Thanks Dr Trout!
dr and here stuff are amazingly great i did not get pregnant yet but still i could say they are professionals
Dr. Trout and her staff are caring, patient, compassionate, and informative. As my partner and I went through the journey of IVF, they answered our thousands of questions and walked us through each step. The entire staff was always patient with our concerns and our questions along the way. Thank you to the entire staff for making us feel welcome, and helping us to build our family. Thanks to Dr. Trout and her staff I am now pregnant with twin boys, due in January, 2014. We highly recommend Dr. Trout and have already referred her to several of our friends.
Dr. Susan Trout is absolutely wonderful! She is very experienced and knowledgeable in her field, which brings peace and comfort, knowing that you are in the best of hands. She and the entire staff are extremely professional, friendly, and supportive. Everyone is always available to answer any questions you may have. Dr. Susan Trout has done so much for me and my family and for this we will be forever grateful.
Dr. Trout has a wonderful, calm, straight forward approach, which I appreciated a lot. Trying to conceive when you face challenges can be a roller coaster, so to have a doctor who helps you stay calm and focused is important. Dr. Trout clearly knows her field well. She confidently and methodically took us through all the steps, answering any questions we had. The whole office environment is friendly and helpful. My husband and I felt known when we went in or called, and now were having a baby!
We came to Dr. Trout after many doctors and much heartbreak. She walked us through a very difficult time and helped us find some comfort and hope. It was with her help and the amazing staff that we were able to conceive againsuccessfully! Thank you for holding on to hope even when we struggled to in the process.
I had seen this doctor several years ago, when I lived with my mom in the Northern Colorado region (I was in high school at the time). I had been referred out by an OB/GYN because my problem with Endometriosis could not be handled in that setting. Dr. Trout immediately knew what was needed and helped me feel better, whereas other doctors were only making me feel worse or making me feel better for a very short time (a matter of months). Not only that, but she worked with my mother (who insisted on taking on the duties of my medical care) long distance over the phone. It has been a while, but I remember that Dr. Trout is a caring physician and very good at what she does. I would highly recommend her for someone who has either fertility problems or other problems that cannot be handled well with an OB/GYN. She actually followed up, whereas other doctors who were treating my problems just put me on treatments and never really adequately followed up. I will see her again in the future for these problems, as I find her knowledgeable, professional, and caring.
I was immediately impressed with Dr. Trout. She was very sensitive to my condition and was a very good listener and answered all of my questions. She was conservative in the procedures that she chose while still being effective. She clearly has a passion for her work and cares about the wellbeing of her patients. I highly recommend Dr. Trout.
