Terrible pushes all kinds of medication on my wife does not listen and has a primary care giver for my wife which I signed the day we went in giving him permission to talk to me he rejected my request to explain how bad she has gotten and would not speak to me terrible when you have a spouse of 42 yrs and the Dr will not talk to you.
Dr. Satinover is great. The psychiatrists and therapists are absolutely wonderful. Denise, the office manager, has zero bedside manner. If you dare to tell her that there is no way that youd make an appointment for almost two weeks after youll be out of meds, she will talk to you like youre an idiot. I have bipolar disorder and I admit that, especially when I havent had regular access to my medication, I get irritable and snippy. I told her that the office staff was incompetent and hung up so that I could get a handle on my mood. When I called back she said, Were not talking anymore. Youre never going to be a patient here and you need help. Yea, I need help. Thats why Im calling a psychiatrist. So then she tells me that shes called the police because I continued calling when she has hung up on me, and then she picks up and laughs and hangs up. Sorry that your system registers people who have been in the hospital as new patients. Sad that good doctors have the worst staff.
Jeffrey Satinover is a pseudoscientist with a god complex. Its shocking that people take him seriously.
This man is a pseudoscientist with a god complex. Its shocking people take him seriously when he was a member of so many discredited conversion therapy organisations.
I have been a patient of Dr.Satinover for over 5 years. He is truly the best Board Certified Psychiatrist / Analyst that I've seen as a patient. I'm originally from NY and Dr.Satinover was referred to me when he was affiliated with a previous office in Danbury before opening his own Practice . In addition the Office Manager Denise is always friendly and willing to assist with questions or inquiries from Insurance questions, to appointment scheduling and refill pharmacy questions. The therapist team consisting of Nancy Notaro ,LSCW and others are a perfect combination and are truly caring and compassionate in their line of work. I will remain as a patient as long as this team is in place. I would highly recommend this practice and specialist to any person that is seeking a consultation / review of their mental well being. They specialize in GAD,ADHD, Bi-Polar, PTSD , and much more. A+ vote 5 out of 5
I had nothing but wonderful experiences. Dr. Satinover is very knowledgeable in his field and will help you determine your best treatment plan. He is patient and will work with you to find whats right for you.
The entire office staff is friendly and wonderful. The receptionists and office manager always greet me with a warm welcome and are happy to assist me with whatever I need. Dr. Satinover and Terry Pizzo are both very intelligent, dedicated and caring practitioners. They are ones who are responsible for changing my life for the better by helping to bring back my smile.

Wonderful doctor... HORRIBLE, RUDE, CONDESCENDING FRONT DESK. Their “office manager” needs a lesson in customer service when dealing with patients being seen for mental health issues. This is the third time she has been so very rude to me. I’ll be finding another doctor due to her lack of professionalism.
Great doctor in a busy practice. Very accommodating, front desk is always willing to make adjustments when needed from my experience.
HIS STAFF IS HORRIFIC! Uncaring, rude and unprofessional. My only gripe with Dr. Santinover is that since I was laid off and no longer worked in CT and did not live in CT, he could no longer treat me. I had a final appt with him and they said I could not do an insurance copay over the phone, I had to pay $150 out of pocket. However, Denise and Jan are disgusting and should not be allowed to work in any doctors office, let alone a psychiatrists office. I landed a new job pretty quickly and found a new doctor, however, I had a two month wait for an appt. I called asking if the doctor would give me a prescription for my meds which I could not just stop taking without adverse affects. They said no, got very nasty with me even after I explained my situation . They just didnt care if I got sick. I called my primary care physician and told him, he was appalled by their behavior and said there could be ethical implications if I got sick. Dont even think about using this practice!
We think Dr. Satinover is fabulous. He’s super intelligent and thinks outside the box. He knows so much about the latest and greatest in medicine.Although I’m not his patient he is lovely to me when I accompany other people.
Waited 2 hours in his waiting room when I had a booked appointment already. His staff is even worse, everyone is rude and disrespectful. Plus he only speaks to you for a maximum of five minutes. What a waste, just a money hungry practice.
I saw Dr. Satinover for 2 years. I was given a misdiagnosis and a cocktail of 6 medications that did more harm than good. Satinover also doesnt return phone calls because he has too many patients. Sorry to anyone who sees him.
When ADHD son put appointment under wrong date the office manager phoned him so he learned his mistake. When he rescheduled she told him to bring payment of $75.00 for missed appointment. When he arrived for rescheduled appointment, she requested $90.00. He gave her the cash and then she alleged his insurance did not cover the appointment. This was incorrect information. He did not have the $150.00 to pay for the appointment so returned home. He needed Dr. Satinover to provide scrip for ADHD meds since he was looking for job having just graduated college. When I phoned the office manager to refund my sons money since he was unable to see the doctor even though was insured with minor copay, she refused. I then requested to speak with Dr. Satinover and he would not talk with me. I would stay away from a practice that is as unethical as this one.
Terrible. I waited over an hour for my scheduled appointment. When I did get in I met with Dr Satinover for a length of 15 minutes, with very little eye contact from him. He called in a prescription and said Ill see you in a month. Needless to say I will not go back. I am also being charged for a full hour visit.
My son, who recently graduated college and has ADHD, visited Dr. Satinover for a med check and to get a new prescription since he needed his medication to enable him to focus on his job search. He put the appointment on the wrong calendar week so he was told he must pay $75.00 for missed appointment. He came into the office for the rescheduled appointment, with the cash in hand. The office manager, Nadine, said he also owed $15.00 for a previous bill, money we were never told we owed. My son willingly gave her $90.00 cash. After he paid the $90.00, Nadine then stated he had to pay for the visit today. My son explained he had insurance coverage but Nadine said his high deductible meant the office fee of approximately $145 was not covered. My son did not have the money so returned home very upset. I phoned the insurance company who confirmed my son had coverage for the visit. I phoned Nadine who said she misunderstood the plan but refused to refund the money or even offer my son another appointment. I attempted to discuss this with Dr. Satinover but Nadine would not relay the message to him. It is appalling that an office manager could do this to a patient. I wonder if the cash was even delivered to the office funds.
My husband and I could not be more satisfied with Dr. Satinover, Dr. Mathias and the therapists we have seen there. This is not the first mental health practice we have been to, but is certainly the best. Everyone, including the administrative personnel, seems to love their work and they are all excellent at it. We have both been amazed at how much more we have learned from treatment here than anywhere else.
(Not my real name!) I first started treatment with Dr. Satinover three years ago when he was working at a different practice. He now treats two of my children as well in the new group he founded. Neither my husband nor I have ever seen a psychiatrist as skilled as he is. I felt immediately at ease with him and that has never changed. His knowledge of not just standard but newer research level treatments is simply remarkable. We have had success with him we never saw previously. He also provides
