List of Jonathan Simon's Reviews
I had one appointment with Dr Simon and I will not be returning. He had a very poor bedside manner, was condescending, did not express any care/empathy and did not take me seriously. After coming into the room, the first 2 minutes were spent in silence and he was typing in the computer. He did not introduce himself, just told me to “give him a minute”. I can only assume he was typing up notes for another patient, which he could have done outside of the exam room, I wouldn’t have minded waiting. Since this was my first visit and I hadn’t spoken to him yet, I can’t imagine he had anything to type about me or my condition. He didn’t ask how I was doing/feeling and just asked me to explain what was wrong. Despite my persistent abdominal pain, losing 7% of my body weight in 3-4 weeks, and even visiting the ER, he deemed my symptoms as “not concerning”. I expressed wanted to move forward with an endoscopy and he placated me by saying they can perform one but suggested they get they wouldn’t see anything of true concern. I asked him why my symptoms were not concerning to him, given that I am very concerned and felt that I was being written off; he smirked and listed symptoms that I don’t have as being the marker for how serious the situation was. I understand he knows much more about the subject than myself, but he got very defensive with me and when I called him on it, he became snippy. He told me that if I didn’t feel comfortable working with him I didn’t have to. I agreed with him wholeheartedly, there is no way I would have let it his man perform any procedure on me. Everyone I have encountered at Griffin has been wonderful. Maybe the other doctors at the practice have the compassion and soft skills that Dr. Simon lacks, but I cannot say, given that I will not be returning.

Not a socializer, but provides good care. Be prepared to ask questions. Be forthcoming in explaining all of your symptoms no matter how embarrassing to you they might be.
I trust Dr Simon with my life! He is a VERY smart doctor.I have had procedures with him in the past where he was very informative and correct about the result. As many people on here say.Hes not very warm. But dont let that fool you.He is INTELLIGENT man!I wont use anyone else!
Dr.Simon is the worst......he wanted to put a stent in my boyfriend the day he was going to Connecticut Hospice..stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer....not an ounce of compassion
I felt very comfortable with Dr. Simon. I had met him a few weeks before my procedure and he was able to ease my worries by answering all my questions. On the day of the procedure he explain all he was going to do very thoroughly. Although he has a quiet way about him, I found I liked and trusted him as a professional- exactly what you want in a doctor!
He's no nonsense; I like that. He is very smart. He helped my GIRD when no one else could,
I was told that I had cancer before he had seen my test biopsy results. I was told on a Saturday afternoon and By the following Wednesday, He called and said it wasnt Cancer. I believe you just dont do that to your patients.
Listens to your questions, explains everything
No personality, you always speak to an intermediary who promises to return call, NOT.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
