Dr. Wayne Chen with Prime Healthcare in Avon, CT. I found this doctor to talk excessively and never let the patient get a word in edgewise. My mother also goes to him and says the same thing. Also his staff was supposed to mail forms to me four times in the last month and I never got any of it. Also the last phone appointment with him only lasted five minutes and he did not let me talk through most of it. If you are looking for a doctor who listens and works with you, then I would look elsewhere.

Kind and competent

Dr. Chen is compassionate and has good bed side manners. His front office is different matter. When I called I was asked if I could hold. When I said I could not the person yelled "you going to have to" and put me on hold. This is not the first time that I was spoken to unprofessionally and nasty by people in the front office. When I said that I was going to note this online, I was told "go right ahead". So here it is. For those reasons I would not recommend someone to go to that office.

I followed Dr. Chen from Bloomfield to Avon. I have been seeing him for 13 years. This man is the most compassionate, professional man. He is very thorough and will help you in all aspects of healthcare. I highly recommend Dr. Chen, he is everything a Dr should be.

I have been a patient of Dr. Chen's for 18yrs. He was just coming into practice with my old primary care doctor. Dr. Chen has ALWAYS taken excellent care of me, and my parents. He answers all my questions and concerns respectfully and knowledgeably. His office is a 40min drive for me but I refuse to find a doctor closer to my home. I highly recommend him.

Our primary care gave up his practice and we were looking for a new one, and happened to call the office and got an appointment right away. He is very thorough, nice bedside manner, and has helped us immensely. Would recommend him to anyone.
