Si-Hoi Lam's Online Review Report Card

I’m not sure what the other negative reviews are about but, I’ve been to many doctors — none have been as wonderful and helpful as Dr. Shi Hoi Lam. I have missed appointments and I am not the greatest patient, and every visit that I have taken there has been 10/10. I’ve never had a bad experience there and have always been treated kindly with great care. The nurses are wonderful, the waiting room is cozy, the temperature is great. The only slight downside which isn’t even a downside really in my eyes is that the parking is across the street — but it’s extremely easy to cross at the cross walk directly near the parking lot.I would recommend him to anyone that is seeking mental health care from someone that isn’t a pill pusher and is more concerned about your mental health than a easy fix. Dr. Lam was highly recommended to me by one of the top oncologists in the Yale system, and weve found him to be extremely reliable and knowledgeable. Ive had his opinions vetted informally by a family member who is also a physician, and his recommendations are always smart and sound. Weve gone through 2 or 3 primary care physicians in the last decade before finding Dr. Lam: hes definitely a keeper. You can trust him with your life

Haven't used their services, parking seems to be on the main Street

Mom, who is now 93, asked me to post the following about Dr. Lam:Dr Lam is and has been an excellent Dr for me for well over twenty years. He always considers all aspects of my health and life before determining what the best next step should be in my care. I have a granddaughter who is a Physician Assistant, and she tells me Dr. Lam's approach is a very highly regarded one in today's healthcare.The last years of my health have benefited greatly by him knowing about me and caring for me all these years. I feel he is part of my family.

Kept me waiting excessively every time, even when I had the first morning or afternoon appointment. THE worst bedside manner ever experienced. Terrible communication skills. Arrogant. Disrespectful to the patient. Did not listen, made own inaccurate judgments.

This doctor ignored information given to him by the patient. When this patient ended up in the hospital and almost died, he tried to place blame on the family. He got very angry when a second opinion was sought from another doctor and tried to prevent measures to determine what was happening with the patient. The second doctor diagnosed the problem and that ultimately saved the patients life. I would give negative stars if I could.
