We were discussing my diagnosis and she just came up with many options for my care. I could not believe how hard she tried to help me to cope. Dr. Barbu remained calm and caring as I was upset and she continued to help and lead me for many tools. I told her to stop and she said it’s her job to take care and guide me to good health. How lucky that there is a doctor with such determination to help and provide the patient. Thank you Dr. Barbu.

Thank you Dr Barbu she’s a very good doctor , she explained my health problem very well and I am flowing all her directions , it was a good experience as a first visit and she’ll be my permanent primary care physician.

Very happy with Dr Barbu and Staff. She has referred me to several specialists and they have been wonderful as well. She always gives me plenty of time time for questions and is interested in keeping me healthy even though I’m older and have a multitude of health issues. I am also a patient at Sloan Kettering and feel Dr Barbu more than handles my issues other than my cancer.

I had a very pleasant experience with Hartford HealthCare. Went for a physical, was seen fairly quickly, doctor was attentive and staff was super welcoming and friendly.Highly recommend.

Love the receptionist Maria. Dr Barbu is not initially warm and cuddly but she proves to be an extremely thorough doctor and is very dedicated to improving my health. Detail orientated and can be stern but supportive too.

I gave this doctor so many chances, because we speak the same language. I felt bad to go to different doctor. But after what she did..I came to her after a bug bite and I didn’t know what exactly was that. She saw my rush and swollen foot and she had no idea what’s that!Why as primary doctor she didn’t send me to Lyme test!? Now because of her I have 3 co infections of LYME and it’s been 3 months after!!!!If I would be treated immediately would be different. This kind of doctors have to leave their job!

All of these bad reviews are not an accident. Doctor is sub par on her best day. Never makes eye contact or listens. She gives you the same talk track no matter what you’re there for. She also canceled on me for an urgent asthma appointment after I confirmed multiple times. She canceled the Friday before she was on vacation for a week so I had to find another doctor to treat my urgent asthma issue. It turns out she did me a favor. I won’t go back there again.
