I never asked for cancer. After I had a necessary surgery, at least two nurses treated me like a waste of space when I had difficulty seeing after waking from anesthesia. When I was officially diagnosed, the doctor who gave me the diagnosis did so like I had something minor. In addition to that, one of the Indian doctors with an incredibly unpronounceable name laughed at me when I asked a question, which I felt was necessary to ask. How anyone of those people I interacted with can sleep at night is beyond me. Now, if I have any other health issues, I'm staying far away from this hospital and every other hospital.

At the emergency room with my ill child , it took them 3 hours to give us a room and another hour for them to treat my child. Horrible !!!

Staff working in labor & delivery (incl the recovery section) are phenomenal. The rooms could use an update but 5 stars anyway because the staff is really top notch. I would absolutely recommend having a baby here.

The nurses at Bridgeport Hospital are amazing in taking care of your family members while they are admitted. Nurses such as Kaitlyn, Ashley, Anya, Jaclyn, Paul and Steve are amazing in the 9 West section of the hospital. The doctors and psychiatrists on the other hand are lazy and unprofessional..The social workers and Dr. Yoder never had a definitive answer to a treatment plan. As a medical professional its your duty to know your patient in which they had no clue. The nurses had more information and answers every time we called. Dr. Yoder's bed side manners is terrible. She made it her point to avoid the patients while conducting her rounds. She never returns phone calls and doesn't seem to care about the parents concerns. We even called the "CEO" (money) and we are still waiting for a call. If you need results go to Saint Vincent's or New Haven for any mental health care.

Worst hospital was trying to set up an appointment for four days no one picked up the phone finally go one when I got there they didn’t have it on record that I sent one up wasting my time driving from New Haven out there
