Dr. Afolalu is the best doctor there is.....If you have trouble with high blood pressure and diabetes...come and see her. You won't regret it!!She has been a blessing to me by helping me get my blood pressure and diabetes under control.
Dr A. is always a pleasure to talk to either in person or on a TeleMed video conference. She never rushes or pressures you to explain your symptoms or ailments. She carefully listens and provides you feedback while giving a feeling of positive support. At the end she always outlines plus reviews her immediate actions she’s going to take, and also her followup plans for you. You finish up knowing she will follow up her action plans and actually get back to you if required or requested. She simply cares about your health and always provides her best with to assist you. I have been her patient for over 10 years.
this was my first visit with this Dr.Abisola Afolalu. my regular Dr is Dr. DeFusco when I called to make an appointment I was told she was on vac. for 2 weeks , I had to see someone as kidney stones acting up, when I got there my regular dr was there (so I was lied to from the start)as I have a long med. history and very comfortable with Dr. DeFusco (been with her for 17 years)as she knows me so well that's why I followed her to HHC. anyway the other dr Abisola Afolalu said she was going to schedule a CT scan which never happened, I tried calling back still nothing, finally I had a follow-up with my kidney dr for my 1 year visitation. and he did a ultra sound which as of now I'm waiting for results, I was looking FWD to getting away from Yale but now I'm not so sure it was the right choice, sad part is I had to make an appointment to see dr DeFusco and could not get an appointment until Dec 10 I understand covid does come into play but almost 3 month wait is a bit extreme. also my appointment was @ 3:15 I wasn't seen until almost 4:30 would have been nice for them to say they were running a bit late , and they kept trying to send in a student nurse which I said I'd rather wait for the Dr. I didn't want to retell my story multiple times
Last visit I had was at her previous practice. She is very kind, respectful and informative.
I would totally recommend Dr. Afolalu to anyone who asked. I had been going to another physician in a nearby town for years and they never sent me for a mammogram. First thing she did was send me for one and I found out I had breast cancer. I was lucky in that it had not spread and the mass was removed. I had 5 months of chemotherapy and weeks of radiation. During my treatment for cancer, Dr. Afolalu called to check on my progress and was kind and compassionate. I am so glad I found her.
Dr Abisola Afalalu is the definition of an MD. She shows empathy and goes above and beyond CARE. She shows special interest in the well being of her clients. She is very attentive and follows through with every complains that is of concern to her clients. She is always there when needed She addresses her clients by name when she meets them outside her practice. Dr Afalallu, you are unique in what you do. Gd job. You make a great difference. Esther O. Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
