Abiola Atanda's Online Review Report Card

Dr Atanda was the only Doctor I trusted to do my back surgery. I had postponed the surgery for 10 yrs before my back started nerve pain down my leg and feeling of numbness in my foot. After sending me through PT and it continued the last option after an MRI was surgery. He explained PT will not help. I trusted Dr Atanda and he explained to me it’s not just him to trust. I knew then I made the correct decision and he was placed in my life to do this much needed surgery. The nerves stopped bothering me and my back and leg after the surgery. I’d relocated from one city in TN to Murfreeaboro TN and found him. I’m so sorry he’s no longer in TN. I don’t know if he’s been replaced but how in the world did they allow this Doctor to get away from TN.

Atanda is a horrible physician. He is condescending and refused to take responsibility for anything. He told ER doctors to send me home with steroids when I came in after his surgery with a temp of 101.7 and in horrific pain. He was angry that I stayed and left me in the ER for 14 hours before he would see me, then finally had to rush me to emergency surgery for the sepsis and took more off a disc (too much, the discs were bone on bone which has caused permanent nerve damage). He ripped my bandages off as I screamed because he was ripping skin - i wound up having to have wound care in the hospital and once I went home. He stuck scissors in my incision without wearing gloves or even in a sterile environment. I had to file a patient advocate case to get him to stay away from me in the hospital. I have now had 3 more back surgeries, I am in constant pain with permanent nerve damage. He was fired from TOA in Nov 2020 (I was in hospital that previous Sept with what all he did to me). I got a letter from TOA letting me know he was gone. I feel this man is not just egotistical but is angry and enjoys causing pain. STAY away from him. he is dangerous. I could have died.

Dr Atanda is very professional. I put off a surgery for more than 10 years that I was aware I needed. It was not until I met Dr Atanda that I felt comfortable with having the surgery. It wasn’t anything he tried to talk me into. He was the only person that explained the surgery and was not speaking of taking out any disk. I wasn’t even aware of the type of procedure he explained to me. Other doctors only talked about removing the disk not placing it back in place with brackets. He was patient an allowed me to make the decision.

I would give this doctor a million stars for a rating if I could. This doctor is phenomenal and remarkably exceptional! This surgeon truly cares about his patients! He did neck surgery for me on May 13,2020 and for the first time in over a year , I have relief besides the normal surgery healing pain. He goes above and beyond to take care ofYou and will do what it takes to help you not be in pain. I love this doctor and he is like a part of my family now! This is the “Only Orthopedic Surgeon that I would highly recommend to anyone in the world” ! This doctor is absolutely amazing and very compassionate about his work! Awesome doctor! Friendly and attentive. Funny guy. knowledgeable about my condition and not one to jump straight to surgery, which I much appreciated. too many doctors these days want to jump to surgery right off the bat instead trying non invasive things first!

I’ll start off by saying Doctor Atanda is an amazing doctor. I drive all the way from Clarksville just to see him even though we have a TOA and other doctors in my area. The only complaint I have is his nurse (Lauren Howser)She is the complete opposite of Doctor Atanda and after I mention something about how she was treating me it just got worse. I truly hope she realizes she is going to cause a good doctor to get a bad reputation just by HER actions. If this would have been my first visit I wouldn’t EVER come back.

I was highly satisfied with my visit with Dr. Atanda. He provided detailed information concerning my medical dilemma; which hopefully, will eradicate under his medical recommendations. In visiting with Dr. A. I felt that someone was finally listening and was able to provide a map of what is taking place and how we will travel options to improve my health. In coming to TOA, for a second opinion, truly paid off. In visiting with a prior specialist, I became disgruntled with the physician services and B attitude, so I reached out to Dr. A. After visiting with Dr Abiola, I left with the feeling of hope. I am very optimistic that Dr. A.truly cares about his patients and his medical expertise and professionnalism will keep me coming. I can't say enough about Dr Atanda. He is probably one of the most impressionable and personable doctor i have ever come across. He is very knowledgeable and has excellent bedside manners which is very rare especially in orthopedics. I trust my entire family with him and will not go anywhere else.
