Terrific surgeon!

I needed very serious cervical vertebrae fusion surgery (ACDF). Once underway, following several months of thorough testing and imaging, the doctor found that my arthritic spine was not only crushing my spinal cord, but was also closing down my esophagus with huge bone spur growth. The surgery took more time than initially expected, and included an additional doctor whose sole job was to watch and protect my spinal cord from damage. When all was done, I had minimal pain and was released from the hospital 24 hours after surgery. With some relief immediately, it has gotten better every day since and other than not being allowed to play golf yet, I am back to my normal activities. Dr. Bomback is there for me and his PA, Stephen, is also excellent. I feel like they really care about my progress and take great pride in solving difficult problems. Unfortunately, I have another problem in the lumbar area of my back which I also need to fix. I am already talking to Dr. Bomback about this.

I was referred to Dr. Bomback a year ago for ACDF surgery. I was terrified at the idea of having spine surgery and was not open to it. He took time to explain the procedure and he put me at ease. I went ahead with the surgery, and I'm so glad I did it. No more pain! I feel so much better, and I can engage in all activities without any limitations. If you need this procedure, don't hesitate. Dr. Bomback is an outstanding surgeon, literally at the top of his game! I trust him and highly recommend him.

If I could give 10 stars to Dr. Bomback and staff, I would. Six weeks after a spinal fusion and laminectomy, I was able to ease back into the physical activities I love (hiking, cycling). I thought it would take much longer because of my age (over 40), but it was like getting my life back after nearly a year of pain and discomfort. Dr. Bomback and staff provided exceptional patient care every step of the way. I'm so grateful.
