After years of shoulder pain and may cortisone shots I was advised to have a complete right shoulder replacement. Most people told me of the long painful recovery except for doctor Wolfson. What he told me was the pain experience right after surgery was less than the normal pain experience before. He didn't exaggerating my experience. After one week I had little need for pain medication. Now after three months the shoulder has no pain only a bit of stiffness but I'm able to return to golf. If you are delaying this surgery like me think again. It's the best choice I've made in years. Wolfson give you no BS and his facts are on the spot. Thank you Dr. Wolfson

Dr. Wolfson is amazing! I completely shattered my shoulder and his total replacement surgery went so well that I recovered faster than I thought possible. if 90% of recovery is in the patient’s attitude, then I would say that 100% of this patient’s positive attitude can be attributed to the confidence that I had in my doctor. From my first consultation to my last appointment with Dr. Wolfson, I always felt that he cared about me. He has always been calm and reassuring, and he answered all of my questions thoroughly and honestly. I would recommend him to anyone who needs any kind of orthopedic care. He deserves 10 stars!

Dr. Wolfsen is really personable and wants to help you get back to work/sport/ regular lifestyle as fast as possible. He keeps up to date and makes sure that you are taken care of. Would 100 percent recommend going to see him at OrthoConnecticut !!!

Dr. Woodson is treating me for a knee problem. I wanted to try to avoid surgery, and he agreed to try supportive therapies. He is compassionate and listens to the patient. He is not only an outstanding orthopedic physician, but a nice guy. I highly recommend Dr. Woodson.

I saw Dr. Wolfson for a very bad ankle break (three bones). Dr. Wolfson took the time to understand my circumstances and talk me through the surgery and recovery. He did a great job with the surgery (2 plates and 11 screws) and aligning my bones so I can return to normal activity. The path to recovery from this break is long and he was clear about all the stages - he was spot on about what to expect and the best course of action to set me up for a successful recovery. I would highly recommend Dr. Wolfson and the staff at OrthoConnecticut in Danbury.

Dr. Wolfson listened to my shoulder pain complaints, offered possible causes, and suggested non-surgical options first. When surgery became the only option, he carefully explained the procedure and the recovery process. Post-op he coordinated the recovery with the physical therapist. I made steady progress to complete recovery with very little discomfort.

TRULY OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE!I felt compelled to write this review because all to often these forums are sometimes used for negative write ups and don't truly reflect the effort and professionalism put forth by the Doctor and associated support staff.My experience with OrthoConnecticut and especially with Dr. Theodore Wolfson and his secretary Kristina came to be as a referral from the Athletic Trainer at my daughter's school.Prior to our appointment, the Trainer spoke to Dr. Wolfson regarding my daughter and some pain she was having in her hip. I was then given the direct phone number to his secretary Kristina.Just making the 1st call to the office I really had no idea what to expect. I was immediately contacted by Kristina within 15 minutes of leaving my message and was then offered the 8am appt, the next day. I was so amazed at the speed in which arrangements could be made to accommodate my daughter.Upon entering the office I was really really impressed with the aesthetic value of the building, the spacious parking lot and immaculate, state-of-the-art presentation of the office facility. The staff immediately and politely greeted my daughter and I and we did not wait at all. We were sent to the back office area and quite quickly given a room. I barely had time to finished any paperwork when Dr. Wolfson arrived.There is just a way that you know that somehow you have gotten to the right place and somehow the right Physician is going to handle the problem and ease your concerns. That is the exact feeling I had upon meeting Dr. Wolfson.Through some conversation, examination and some scanning, Xrays(done right onsite ) and an MRI, the diagnosis was made between a Friday and a Monday morning follow up appointment. I really have to say the experience we had is truly "Medicine" at it's absolute best !! Professional, courteous, prompt, efficient, incredible, kind, and compassionate are just some of the adjectives I would use to describe this experience and all those who cared for my daughter.I, myself have worked in diagnostic medicine for over 25 years and I pride myself on delivering to my own patients outstanding care and compassion all while providing a professional experience, yet this time I was just a Mother with a injured daughter. Often times I find that when I or a member of my family, actually are the patient, the care falls short of the experience that I offer to those in need.I have to say, the care my daughter and I received was 1000% the care anyone would hope to have. I felt as cared for and communicated with as my daughter felt. WE will be patients' of Dr. Wolfson and Staff for many years to come. I highly highly recommend that should you and anyone you know need outstanding orthopedic care you look into OrthoConnecticut and their amazing group of highly trained Physicians.Too bad I can only give "5" Stars...wish I could give an even higher rating! Dr. Woodson is absolutely outstanding! I have a long history of orthopedic problems, and he evaluated a new knee problem. He is very thorough, listens and is compassionate. He is a surgeon, but he came up with a treatment plan to try to avoid doing surgery. I highly recommend him!

Best doctor/surgeon anyone could ask for. Does absolutely amazing work. He did my ACL and meniscal repair and my scar is beautiful. 10/10 highly recommend!
