List of Paula Ortiz's Reviews
First one, a physical, went well. Worked on care plan & agreed to follow up in few months. Next appt was different story. She was short, dismissive & not conversational; more commanding & brushing over issues. Frankly, think my case was too overwhelming & wouldn't admit it. Very dangerous in medicine! Also got impression she only wants to make mark as new, young MD. Very impressed with self. Securing swift solution was goal & that was not going to happen so couldn't be bothered. Months later, needed refill. Notified her several times; no response. Ended up in ER because no meds! Didn't hear from her after confronting RN & another MD updated her. Still needed meds. Actually emailed me that she would refill "this time" but "no more" as didn't keep appt didn't know I had. Got emails from office cancelling & wanting to confirm SAME appt! Called, ask for clarification, told was cancelled. Haven't heard from her since. GOOD. Too concerned about self to be practicing on own which is reckless.
Dr Ortiz is prescriptive and rote. She asked questions, but her recommendations were based on age and sex, not family history or patient experience/symptoms. It was like speaking to a human that was regurgitating the internet.
Dr Ortiz was rote and prescriptive. Despite personal information given, she merely recommends procedures and tests based on age and sex. No consideration of personal needs, family history, or patient opinion. It was like speaking to a human version of webmd, but less informed (she didn't know the immunization schedule for adult boosters).
Dr Ortiz is a young talented physician held back only by her group practice with weak communication. I wish her to move to another more competent group.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
