Kenneth V. Schwartz's Online Review Report Card

I do my best to give medical professional's the benefit of the doubt: they are highly trained in their discipline, and many have spent decades of their lives becoming an expert in their particular discipline. Despite my best efforts to look at it from all angles, I under no circumstances could possibly recommend this man to anyone. In addition to personally experiencing many of the negative qualities - as both a physician and a human - other reviewers have alluded too in regards to Dr. Schwartz, he lost all credibility as an expert in his field during the course of my visit. I was there for the most bare-bones of cardiovascular check-ups i.e. blood pressure, heart rate, and an echo. I needed the all-clear from a cardiologist before beginning a medication that could be truly life-saving for me, and may have some minor contraindications with hypertension. He wasn't familiar with the medication (a medication that is exploding in popularity and use): he said he was going to go do "research" and walked out the door. To me this implied that he would read a few medical texts, maybe even some of the latest journal articles and get back to me later on in the week. As I finish dressing and go to walk out the door, he comes back in: and tells me his "research" indicated there was a small chance of minor side effects for me due to my blood pressure being "borderline" high. He was gone for less than sixty seconds. His "research" embodied reading a few bullet points on either Wikipedia or WebMd. And just like that, I was denied the thumbs up I desperately needed to begin a new, life saving medication. So in addition to all the negative qualities other reviews have mentioned, he is a) not up to date on new medications, even prominent ones and b) his idea of research to fill this knowledge gap is sixty seconds of WebMd or Wikipedia. I have never been so thoroughly disheartened by a supposed medical professional. The knowledge that this man makes life altering decisions for dozens if not hundreds of human beings on a weekly basis makes me truly upset

Terrible. Will not return calls. Answering service was a Housing Authority number! Has no concern for older patients. Staff verified he received my requests for a call back about my 94 year old mother. HIGHLY recommend you find a better cardiologist than him. He’s a disgrace to the profession.

Well, my dad was his patient for over 20 years I believe. He was stuck with him due to other reasons, hence, stuck. If you value life and can go see another doctor, please do so. This guy should be ashamed of himself for having the two letters, MD, after his name. He cares more about his flying hobby, not his patients.
