She was my primary care MD.I went in complaining of difficulties walking and body/muscle soreness.She felt that I had dehydration.I requested lab work & was told to come back in 4 weeks if not better.Following week I was much worse & went to walk in center.Lab results came back with serious arthritic condition.Now seeing a rheumatologist who confirmed diagnosis.

Dr Ortega has been my primary care doc for 4 years. She has never been rude or condescending in any way. I believe she is an excellent doc, always takes time to discuss any topics I ask about.

Dr. Ortega was incredibly condescending, demeaning and rude. Never once during my physical did she ask if I had any concerns to discuss. She didn't even allow me to talk - She talked AT me for an hour. I am 15 lbs over ideal weight for my height. She literally said to me I want you to journal every thing you eat so at the end of the week you can see every chocolate bar and cookie you ate and reflect on why you are obese. Never once asking about my diet or exercise level.

I am new to the area, I chose to make an appointment b/c ratings were ok . Since day 1 she had been very insensitive with me. The last few times I had to see her, were just awful experiences! She was very rude I felt rushed out. Never had I been made to feel like less of a person. I cannot comprehend why she would be this way with me. Her body language just read, Ugh I don't like you let's hurry this up. Twice I had left the office in tears having an anxiety attack. She was awful to me!

Dr. Ortega recited what she had learned in a medical book rather than listen to my symptoms. Once she decided her diagnosis, it didn't matter that I wasn't suffering from many of the symptoms she said I had. Very rude about it when I tried to tell her my actual symptoms. My insurance then billed me for her diagnosis, which happened to be one of the only ones my insurance won't cover. I became more sick and stressed over the appointment than I do had never gone. I will never go back.
