List of A. Gregory Geiger's Reviews
Dr. Geiger is a very gifted man. His work is remarkable. I was very fortunate to have him perform my recent surgery.
Having lower back pain & shooting pain down one leg and a sore shoulder, I made an appt with Dr. Arthur Geiger on a Friday. He prescribed two medications to reduce/eliminate pain and suggested a few stretching exercises. By the following Monday the pain had not subsided and of the exercises recommended, I needed clarification because he had rattled them off quickly without any diagrams or pictures. I called Geiger's office on Monday...and again on Wed...and again on Thursday. Finally, 5 days after my initial call, an assistant returned my call. Her response was cold and to the point without any hint of empathy: "Dr Geiger said you should go to a spine specialist or get physical therapy" No referral or recommendation re specialists, physical therapists, or PT program. She had no knowledge regarding the stretching exercises. As a patient, I felt I was simply being blown off. I called back to confirm that there were no recommended spinal specialists or therapists. I was asked to wait. After a couple minutes, she returned saying she found a couple physical therapists in the yellow pages! I explained that therapists often specialize in a certain body parts, but she was convinced a physical therapist could do anything. Unbelievable. Never heard anything from Geiger. About two weeks later I happened to read Geiger's diagnosis report which included information unknown to me: 1) I was to ice my shoulder after exercise; 2) both medications were to be refilled whereas the meds received had no refills available. Once again, I called Geiger's office for clarification. The receptionist who is not a nurse answered and after explaining my concern, but without checking with Geiger or my medical records said, "well, why don't you just take the refills anyway?" I'm sorry but this is increasingly sounding like a comedy of errors...and since it involves my health, it's time to find a new doctor.
A great doctor and a really nice guy. He explains things in a manner where people understand them, and he spends a lot of time with you, and he cares about his patients. He's very friendly, considerate, and funny. My late parents Mr and Mrs Leslie Thomas of West Haven loved him. My dad said that he is a nice gentleman, and my mom said that he was very nice. I recommend him to anyone, and he's one of the best orthopedic docs around.
This is the only Doctor my husband and I will see !
Dr. Geiger and his staff (including his in-office physical therapist, Laurie G.) are great! He is conservative but up to date on the latest information. I never have a problem getting an appointment. Donna at the front desk is the best.
I had a great experience with Dr. Geiger. I brought my daughter to him for an ankle injury, and I've referred anyone I know who has sports-related injuries.
Dr Geiger is awesome. I had never broken a bone before and Dr Geiger answered all my questions, was extremely nice, and helped me understand everything. The nurses and front desk staff are also very nice and welcoming. I would highly recommend Dr Geiger for any type of injury.
Dr. Geiger is a straight-talking guy, a true pro.
My husband fell on his shoulder in the snow and after a couple of weeks he was still in pain. Dr. Geiger came highly recommended from the staff at my health club, and when I called the office we got a same day appointment. My husband had an x-ray done at the office and the doctor saw us immediately after that. He spent a considerable amount of time discussing the x-ray and what treatments might apply. He recommended an MRI which my husband elected not to have done, but the medication took care of the pain, and we will be sure to keep this doctor on our short list for sports injuries, etc.
Dr. Geiger is the best orthopedic surgeon and doctor. I am so lucky to have found a doctor who listens and gives real, honest answers. He gives the best possible solutions to your problems without making you feel like a number or just another case.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
