Dr. Weiland is very understanding and professional. I like that he is honest and just tells you how it is. It was my first surgery and he definitely took away a lot of my stress and worry. You never feel rushed, he takes time to explain everything and makes sure all your questions are answered. His PA Tony and Assistant Charlotte are great too!

Dr. Weiland performed surgery on my right knee and was very personable and compassionate. Although his livelihood is as a Surgeon He often provides alternative recommendations that is better for the Patient then himFinancially.

Dr. Wieland is a kind, compassionate orthopedist, who listens patiently and diagnoses properly. I have been fortunate enough to be his patient. The first Ortho I went to, wanted to replace my knee. Dr. Wieland did simple arthroscopic surgery, ordered PT & once every 3 or 4 years, he gives me a cortisone injection. I can do everything, without any restrictions or pain. Sure beats having my knee replaced!!!

Outstanding orthopedic surgeon. After breaking my clavicle in a bad fall this winter, I went to Orthopedic Specialty Group in Fairfield where Dr. Weiland saw me. He was kind and attentive. He spent time with me explaining the injury and x-rays. He was empathetic and personable. I firmly believe that his attention and his manner fostered my healing without surgery.

Totally incompetent surgeon, initially declined surgery siting that because I’m young, it would heal. 4 months later, he told me that weight bearing would help the bone grow. Not only did it not grow, but the fracture grew, and required a plate and 8 screws after I got a second opinion. Would not recommend this surgeon if he actually does perform leg surgery to anyone.

I have seen Dr. Weiland, for knee & hip problems. Wouldn't go to anyone else, (And I'm a retired nurse.) He's right on the money, with his diagnosis, surgical skills & has great compassion & concern, when you're hurting. (By the way, his assistant, Charlotte, has been with him forever & that tells ya something, too. Charlotte is a very thorough assistant & kind. ) They make a great team!
