This is the last time I will try to leave a review, because the site is not user friendly. Dr. Back is an exceptional physician. He has helped me with the osteoarthritis in my fingers, hands, and shoulders. He also consulted with me regarding my hip replacement.

Dr.Backe has been my hand surgeon for many years. I’m an artists so my hands are my life and I’d entrust them to no one else. Implants, reconstructions and tweaks to keep my hands at their best, whatever is needed to keep my hands working have been executed with great results. Today’s visit was typical of every visit. A thorough examination, an explanation of the situation and a realistic approach about my options at the time. He is everything one would look for in choosing a doctor. His concern and degree of care is 100% genuine. His skills are top notch and cutting edge. I heartily recommend Dr. Backe. I

Still coping with poor outcome from surgery

Dt. Backe rushed through an initial consult and literally forced my son to get a cortisone injection in his hand, after my son told him he didn’t want one. That shot destroyed his hand for over a year now and he’s a musician and can’t play his guitar or any instruments without constant pain. I wish we could sue Dr. Backe for what he did. He did nothing in subsequent appointments except offer more cortisone to slice the problem. Useless medical doctor!

I saw Dr. Backe several months ago for pain in my hand and wrist.He gave me a injection which made me pain free. He is very compassionate and is a doctor that actually listens. i will be seing him again.

I had a very bad break of my wrist which necessitated surgery. Dr. Backe did a superb job. His staff is very competent and was extremely pleased with my dealings with Dr Backe. I would highly recommend him as a doctor and surgeon.

Dr. Backe replaced both hips for me in the last half of 2017. The first procedure was performed at hospital. The procedure was flawless, and Dr. Backe even repaired a piriformis issue that had plaged me for years. My recovery was very fast, and I had very little pain. My second hip replacement was an outpatient procedure done at Fairfield Surgical Center; I was in at 6:30 am and home at 3:00 pm. My recovery was even faster. I highly recommend Dr. Backe and his A-team.

Dr. Backe is one of the most gregarious and professional person. For me and my family for the past 20 years, our experiences with his practice and staff are so accommodating and always repairs any injury or painful problem with an individual experience as if we were his family member. When we are in his office he takes the time to talk and not rush for the next patient this is why it takes a little longer for the time to see him! I think that's what makes a great Doctor..
