Robert Noecker's Online Review Report Card

I have seen Dr. Noecker for several years and have never had a bad experience. The office staff has always been responsive and helpful. I have never been kept waiting. The waiting room does have a coffee machine available for patients. My exams have been thorough and with up to date equipment. Dr. Noecker has never made me feel rushed and has always gone over any results of any tests. I am an advanced practice nurse and I have been pleased with this practice in all aspects of my care.

I have a genetic malformation of both eyes as well as cataracts and narrow angle glaucoma. Dr. Noecker replaced my lenses using laser surgery. It was fast and completely painless. Dr. Noecker is a no-nonsense, efficient professional. I felt 100% safe in his hands. Would definitely see him again if needed and highly recommend.

I went to this doc for cataract surgery. He is only interested in doing laser surgery which is not covered by insurance. He also doesn't offer a lense that most docs use as it is affordable. He is obviously only looking for patients with no financial limits.

I showed up at the East Haven, CT office to find no waiting area. I had to stand and wait for my turn to speak to the receptionist. The office is one big room divided by small partitions. My exam was done basically in the hallway because there was no room. When Dr. Noecker came into the exam room, he said "You know how this goes, right?" Well, no I don't. I'm not an ophthalmologist and it was going to be my first surgery of any kind. He explained the procedure to me, but not the possible problems that may occur during or after the surgery. I read his reviews on other sites & saw a lot of "1 stars" with major complaints so I have decided to cancel my surgery and go with another ophthalmologist.

Have not been to this dr in years. About six months ago his office added my number to his robocall machine. Calls at least three times a day everyday. Will not stop calls even after I complained to his office.

My first visit with Dr. Noecker resulted in his telling me I had a number of serious eye conditions and he highly advised a laser procedure to fix them. I subsequently learned that he brags to his friends about how much money he makes from performing so many laser procedures. So I went to another eye doc where I found out I do not have anything wrong with my left eye which Dr. Noecker told me had glaucoma, I do not have several other eye conditions that Dr. Noecker advised treatment by laser.

Terrible experience. He "diagnosed" glaucoma and several other serious eye conditions that I subsequently learned I do not have. He strongly advised laser procedure to "fix" the non-existent conditions. I would recommend avoiding him if you care about your eyes.

Horrible experience at Fairfield location today. Did not get to see the Dr. Upon check-in I was handed 5 pages of paperwork. I had a broken shoulder surgically repaired last week, my dominant/writing hand. My arm is immobilized. I asked if there was another way I could provide the information because I was left-handed and would have trouble filling out the paperwork. The person I was speaking to went around the corner to ask someone else and I heard her say 'he can fill it out with his right hand.' I walked around the corner and said, 'you've got to be kidding me, there's no other way I can provide this information to you? What if someone has a disability, how would they do this?' The response was 'Their aid would fill it out.' I just took my insurance card and id and left while saying, 'or perhaps you could have provided the paperwork in advance, provide it electronically, or let me answer the questions verbally like every other office has been able to do.' I've had multiple first-time office visits in the past few weeks due to the broken shoulder. Very hard for me to politely explain how obnoxious and unnecessarily rude this was. Not to mention how out of line the response to the disability question was.
