The best hand doctor In the area. I used him for a broken bone in my hand, he reassured me that I would be back to work and have full use of my hand. I would recommend him to anybody who needed hand work.
Dr Rago operated on my husbands hand. His pain was incredible, but after surgery Bill felt so much better Dr Rago is kind and considerate and an wonderful hand surgeon. Thank you Dr Rago
Had wonderful experience with my carpal tunnel surgery. Asked a friend who is a retired OR nurse and she had him do her hand surgery. I know several people who have had work done on themselves and their children. I am ready for him to do my other hand now. He never rushed me and spent plenty of time answering my many questions.
Wonderful doctor in every way. My family has used him for surgeries and other hand issues. Highly recommend.
Excellent
Just had my hand operated on after doing a ton of research chose Dr. Rago and his staff. As a salon owner my hands are everything to my career. Over a dozen clients that come into my business had used Dr. Rago and highly recommended him. This helped solidify my decision so I’m here to do the same for anyone looking for a great Doctor for carpel tunnel. Not only did he explain everything thoroughly but his staff was equally as compassionate and thorough. When I look for a doctor I also look at his surroundings staff as the entire experience. This was a great experience from start to finish. Very happy in my decision to have Dr. Rago do my surgery.
I would not send a dog to this joker, meets me and my wife and clearly looks at "growths"sub-dermal and rec i see derm! for a procedure HE does (Biopsy), he just needed to man up and say he could not handle a hard case, This fool needs to retire! OH, and the staff only cared about there co-pay and yes rude! ( oh and he never did any assessment and wants to bill me, I tend agree with the many,,many poor reviews of , Doc Tom! As a Nurse I have worked with them all over 20 years but I have never seen a doc so poorly explain possible cancer, "If i open you up and it is cancer, you will not be a happy camper, I have no idea what this is." OK, a hand doc is not sure if he wants to biopsy what may be cancer like STAT but wants a (skin doc) to tell him tumors lay below the (derm) skin! I suppose I am lucky as a nurse but i have wander; WHAT is he telling the masses? If you look into this shady practice you will see it was sited by the DPH (department of health) for multiple issues not to mention "cleanliness and Improper record keeping! I feel obligated to report above to the DPH, Perhaps Rago and his team have not cleaned Up" there act!To the credit of having three payment sources for a visit I have yet to date rec/a bill it has been a few weeks and think they rel/I DID NOT have a co-pay and truly this visit was never deserving of a penny but at least they may have understood as insurance has not been billed as well!. Was sent a bill a couple months later after he billed multiple insurances nearly 300 bucks! He wants 45 more from me! No this was absolute fraud as he did not lay a finger on me nor assess me! I wander how he gets away with this! I read the review left by George" after mine and I am pleased, Perhaps a positive change has been put into place.
Dr. Rago and his staff are amazing. The office was clean everyone was curteous and efficient. The doctor himself was compassionate and professional. He explained everything and answered all of our questions. Honestly I am so glad the ER referred us to him after my boyfriend broke his hand.
This is the second time I have seen Dr. Rago for a trigger finger issue. In 2014, I went to him to have surgery on my hand and he and his staff did a wonderful job. I read the review by Jack Keller and felt obligated to write my own review. I am not a relative or friend of Dr. Rago. I am one of his patients. I just came back from Dr. Rago's office , where he did an evaluation on another trigger finger issue. I found the staff courteous, professional and business like. There was nothing rude about the staff or Dr. Rago. Dr. Rago examined my finger, told me what he could do, explained the surgery in a polite, professional manner. I was on time getting to his office and in turn the entire pre-exam information form was presented to me immediately. Upon finishing the form, I was taken almost immediately to an exam room where a medical assistant reviewed my information and asked several questions. Dr. Rago came to the exam room introduced himself, reviewed the information and professional told me my options to resolve the issue. When I elected for surgery and I was escorted to the scheduling staff to set up my surgery process. The entire time took 30-40 minutes. Everyone was polite, professional and efficient. It would be terrific if all doctors' office operated as politely, efficiently and professionally as Dr. Rago and his staff.
Dr. Rago is an excellent doctor and surgeon. He is very warm, friendly & personable person. He is thorough throughout my visit. He took time to listen to my concern as well as explained the surgery procedure clearly to me. My carpal tunnel surgery went very well from the first day. The office staffs afe very nice and accomodative. The surgery center is very clean and the staffs there are awsome. One even took me to the car on the wheelchair. I highly reccomend Dr. Rago.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
