I never felt more rushed in an appointment. No sense of connection whatsoever. It was a matter of seeing me for five minutes. I went last year and another doctor at this practice did not write my prescription right and I literally had to wait three weeks for the right script. I tried again asking for another doctor and Dr Gilbert saw me, and for the second year, I’m told I have cataracts but I don’t need surgery. I can’t read a sign 500 feet down the road but I don’t need the surgery?? I have made another appointment to be seen by a reputable doctor who has the reputation of actually listening to patients.
It was wonderful to connect with Dr. Gilbert again, after an absence of twelve years. His explanations were thorough and I will be following up with him in a year to be sure my eyes and vision are healthy.
Dr Gilbert saved my sight 25 years ago. I have weak retinas due to premature birth and sight in only my right eye. He is kind and caring. He can also explain in lay man terms any problem that occurs. i would wait however any amount of time to see him. I have referred him to all of my family and friends.
Fantastic doctor very caring sees you before op after op and calls you night after op also checks you the next day. If you need cateract surgery you cannot do any better. Great staff
I came to Dr. Gilbert with an unusually complicetd eye history, including multiple eye injuries and surgeries. Over the last 3 & 1/2 years, he has cared for my vision with great skill, professionalism, and real compassion. For these, I am sincerely grateful.
Worst patient/doctor rapport ever - poor disposition and very clinical explanation. Did not want to answer my questions. Appeared that I was taking his valuable time. He said I needed a corneal transplant. Referred to his ass't to set up surgery, but it couldn't be done for 2-3 months. Went for a second opinion and learned that it could be something else. later determined by 2nd doc to try steroid eye drops, b/c it was a virus in eye and surgery not needed. Bad attitude and bad diagnosis!
Dr Gilbert and his Associates within the practice provide excellent care & service. Plus, Dr G said, I'm one if his "youngest patients!!!Just be prepared to wait.
He did cataracts on both of my eyes many years ago. My only regret is that I waited too long to have the operations, because I was very afraid .Since then many ophthalmologists have examined me and their first impression was how excellently the lenses were attached to my eyes. I always felt very comfortable and confident with him. I would not hesitate to receommend him anyone anytime.
I found him to be not very caring . He did not even order an effective analegic for the rate of pain that i was expericing. I returned to his office for an unschedule appointment , he appeared very angry to see me .I had sutures poking me in my operative eye . It was so painful. He removed the sutures. It was neglegent by my opinion. He was mostly concerned about when i would be retuning to work ,not my discomfort. I would never recommend him.
The wait is over one hour to get to see the first office assistant. Then the wait is over one half hour to get to the second office/medical assistant. Then another 20 minutes for the doctor to arrive. One's bones begin to ache waiting around in chairs that begin to feel very rock-like. The waiting time is inexcusable. The high technology is impressive but the warmth of patient relations is extremely lacking. Even the appointment people are brusque and impatient while you answer their questions. Of many different doctor visits, this is the worst for kindness. The snobiness of the office staff is way beyond acceptable.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
