Doctor Lacks communication skills.Doctor tells me everything’s fine have a nice day. Discharge papers say “benign tumor”. I call said doctor “I understand it’s benign but you didn’t mention tumor in office” Her” oh it’s not really a tumor”. Me” …oh so it’s incorrect wording here?” Her” no you’re misinterpreting it”. I don’t understand why she didn’t include me in my health here, and just explain what it meant .
They don't care about patients.
Like my doctor wouldn't go anywhere else
Did accutane treatment here, had to nag the office to complete the ipledge otherwise they wouldn’t do it. Horrible experience.
I have been going to have my skin checked for over 20 years at UConn, happily providing my normal Anthem co-pay - $30 - for the security of knowing my skin is OK. In May, 2021 I had a 10-minute check-up, all was well, and I was asked for my $30 co-pay at the front desk. Weeks later I received an additional bill for $170, allegedly to complete a $200 "co-pay." How could it have been almost 10 times more than in the past?? The answer may shock you. I was charged not for a co-pay for the medical treatment, but for "a facilities fee." UConn was allowed to pull off this scam by treating my 10-minute appointment not as an "office visit," but rather as an "out-patient visit," as if I were in the hospital receiving special treatment. And Anthem was apparently willing to pay BOTH their portion of the medical bill AND half of the $377 "facilities fee," leaving me with a $200 co-pay on the "facilities" part rather than a $30 co-pay on the medical part.BEWARE UConn Healthcare users!!!! Make sure your appointment is being coded as a normal office visit, NOT an "out-patient visit."
I see the negative reviews of Uconn dermatology. They’re so tedious it’s sad. If you people only knew how Dr Kerr saved my life from Melanoma and how advanced they’re staff is in treatment serious skin ailments. It’s the best skin care center in CT.
Very unprofessional my niece has been going there for about a year. They don’t speak to well that’s why my name is in there !! I get some phone calls from the doctor tell me about my niece asking what she was actually there for and asking me what type of vaccines has she been getting for her psoriasis !! this doctor was unaware of what vaccines she took and instead of calling and asking me whos her pediatrician they go there own way to try and find one for her !! When she already has one that’s how she got referred to them smh not good !!!
Met with Sally Cote for the first time. I agree with other reviewers -- it wasn't a great experience. While giving me instructions/recommendations, she referred to medications and skin conditions by their technical, long-form name, which was incredibly confusing when trying to figure out what I'm supposed to doing/changing (e.g., "you're going to use sglknskl but not sgnjkln because sgnjkln isn't doing anything for your ungfj. Now, how have you been finding weghinb?"). Also, she dictated notes while talking to me in a way that made it difficult to know whether she was giving me instructions, or talking to her computer. I felt so unheard/confused, it makes me doubt the validity of her recommendations... Which is to say, they might be spot-on and clinically great? It was just a confusing and disorienting interaction...
If you value your medical rights this is NOT the place to go. Been here before with Drs note saying masks aren't possible for me and wasnt a problem before. Now their new communist policies override my medical note so they wouldn't let me in.
Saw Sally in Storrs. I didn't feel like this appointment was thorough and felt like she spent most of the time on the computer. Not going back for sure.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
