Karina M. Berg's Online Review Report Card

My husband and I moved to CT three years ago and the best part of that move is Dr. Berg. She listens, observes, is extremely sensitive and truly cares. When we need a specialist, she directs us to the very best doctors. When my husband suffered a very serous and life threatening emergency she kept in touch with me throughout the entire month of hospitalization and rehab. If we have a question or need medical advice she gets back to us within 24 hours, Although I am having difficulty adjusting to living in CT, I would never leave because of the wonderful medical care we have found with Dr. Berg.

​While Dr. Berg is a good physician for my parents, the office's administrative practices are consistently frustrating. On July 23rd, I called to schedule appointments for them and was told someone would return my call. As of July 29th, I still haven't received a callback. This lack of follow-up is a significant concern. ​Additionally, the office heavily promotes their online portal, which creates a major barrier for my parents. They don't use computers and aren't fluent in English (Polish), making online communication impossible. It's clear we need an office that's more understanding of elderly patients, those who aren't tech-savvy, and who prioritize reliable communication. I'm now looking for a practice that better accommodates these needs.

Excellent I appreciate the time she takes to listen to me. She also takes the time to explain any medical issues I might have. I’m very happy and grateful to have Dr Berg as my PCP.

Dr. Berg has been excellent with both of my parents. She's detailed, communicates clearly and firmly, spends time with my parents during their appointments and follows up consistently with any issues.

Dr. Berg was my mom's doctor from Aug 2016 - Jun 25, 2023. Dr. Berg has an excellent background in Gerontology. My mother was well cared for including attention to her minor memory problems. Dr. Berg listened to my mom as well as family information to understand what was happening to my mom. My mom enjoyed Dr. Berg's bedside manner.

Our mom was slowly declining with dementia. Dr Berg was a godsend. Our mom was in the beginning stages of dementia when we saw Dr. Berg the first time. She was very patient and kind with my mom and me and my siblings. We had never experienced dementia before. She guided us thru the different stages and told us how we could help our mom. A geriatric doctor’s specialty is the elderly. We found that my mothers regular doctor wasn’t able to help her or guide us the way we needed. Dr. Berg helped us give our mom the best care possible. We would highly recommend Dr. Berg.

Dr Berg is kind and very compassionate when it comes to the care of my mom. My mom has a complicated few years when it comes to her health. Dr Berg has been patient and very open to discover further what’s been going on. She will often pick up the phone and call my mom just to check in. I am grateful for her kindness and willingness to keep digging to find the answers. I am often very much into alternative care and I feel that Dr Berg respects that and often encourages it. We finally feel we found a dr who cares and doesn’t tell us that it’s in her head. The office can be a bit hard to deal with but it’s all worth it for the care Dr Berg provides.

Dr Berg has been treating my mother for Alzheimer's and dementia for several months now. Her condition is complex and progressing. In each of the two appointments we've had so far, Dr Berg has been fantastic. She has spent close to an hour in each appointment assessing my mother's condition, giving recommendations on how my father can better care for her as her conditions progress. She has been caring and thoughtful to the challenges facing my father as the main caregiver. In each appointment she has spent more than an hour with us. Dr Berg is a wonderful doctor who clearly cares for her patients and their families.
