I am an extremely stressed patient that does not like visiting doctors but out of necessity I had to visit Dr. Ruddat and he was excellent. He was kind , patient and seems to be very knowledgeable. He seems very professional and he went out of his way to be patient and accommodating to me. I recommend him..

My only beef –Dr. Ruddat’s new office has a chair that feels like hardened steel with no padding. Maybe it’s just me but deal with it. He discovered my macular degeneration 6 years ago. This new office feels a little disorganized to me but I've only been there once and I’m not yet familiar being shuffled into the newer rooms for chart reading, dilation or computerized exams before seeing Dr. Ruddat. His staff is especially nice and Dr. Ruddat is a very caring person, easy to talk to and discuss your eye disease or condition(s). He told me everything I need to know about macular degeneration and especially what to do if I ever experience flashes in my eyes, anything that distorts my vision and told me to call his office 24/7 and he'd treat it surgically if necessary. You’ll get an extremely comprehensive eye exam and I'd recommend him to anybody. He treated my wife’s mom very good for her eye problems. Been to a few other eye specialists and I find Dr. Ruddat the best by far.

Nice man but his exam literally felt like a form of torture and what's worse, I was left with permanent blurred vision that now cannot be treated. Terrible.

Feeling very stressed out going for my appointment all of the staff made me feel more relaxed and welcomed. Dr. Ruddat made me feel especially comfortable and took the time to explain procedures and outcomes. I would highly recommend Dr. Ruddat and this office in general!

My father who is elderly was told his vision would never improve,which was sad in itself, because he would slowly be going blind, but to tell him this very sad news in front of his staff and a drug represenative is unconscionable! He is more interested in moving patients in and out at a fast rate (wants to make alot of money fast) when a provider loses a large degree of compassion and empathy its time to hit the road! There are many other opthalmologists who are not only very skilled but have a little compassion and patience for the elderly. I found this MD rude and certainly would never recommend him. I am a health care provider.
