I was fortunate enough to have Dr. Brewer while she was at UMC Cancer Center in Tucson. She was truly an answer to a prayer. If I did not live 75 miles from her clinic, I would have been able to my radiation with her. I ended up doing my radiation in my home town. Dr. Brewer and her nurse were very attentive to me emotionally and mentally, and she respected my wishes regarding specific healthcare needs. I really miss her, but am glad I haven't needed to see her or another oncologist.
We went to see Dr Brewer about what appeared to be a fibroid tumor which was later diagnosed as cancer. I found Dr Brewer not to be knowledgeable about some of the newer treatment options available. When I brought them up, she seemed like she could not tell me the best options. So we left and went to other more knowledgeable doctors.
I came to Dr. Brewer six years ago with a visible cancer which turned out to be Cervical Cancer although I'd faithfully gotten my PAP's for 40 years. Dr. Brewer was always straight forward and honest about the assessment of my condition, treatment options and giving me whatever relief she could during my cancer story. Anyone lucky enough to find this doctor I believe is getting the best treatment available. Thank God I had this disease in the 'modern' age of medicine and Thank God too fortune brought me to UConn and Dr. Brewer.
I began seeing her in june 2017 i had 2 laser surgeries. Last one was November 6th 2017. 3 days before christmas i had to be rushed to the ER my body nearly septic. I have been in a new hospital for 6 days now. My stomach rittled with abscesses. That have been growing for a very long time. Facing possible hysterectomy at 40 years old. Dr brewer missed this after examining me countless times.
Dificult to make appt with. She seems to like to take vacations and go to conferences than see her patients
In April of 2017 I was diagnosed has having endometrial serous cancer. Dr. Brewer was straight forward in explaining my type of cancer to me. Yes, at first it seemed dire, but I realized she just wanted me to be absolutely clear as to what this type of cancer was as she outlined my treatment course. Dr. Brewer is also very compassionate and comforting. She always carefully listened and answered every question or concern my husband and I asked. She is a wonderful Gynecologic Oncologist.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
