In addition to being unprofessional and rude, the RN in charge of my case lacked any sense of compassion or empathy.

Very poor patient care in this ER. My boyfriend went here with severe pelvic pain, very high Blood Pressure and abnormal EKG. Our worries were about his heart. Ok so for someone in such bad pain with very high blood pressure and abnormal ekg, the nurse never once hooked him up to the monitor to monitor his heart or blood pressure. This I had to ask for and then to just receive a horrible attitude because I was breaking up the nurses “gossip time” They right away pumped him full of morphine and a “GI Cocktail “Now after doing some research I see they are not by any means suppose to give GI cocktails to anyone who is having cardiac issues. Because this can mask the symptoms. So he gets very sick off that and starts vomiting all over the place. I asked numerous times to get an ultrasound to rule out something very bad. And the whole time I’m voicing my concerns, the rude nurse is rolling her eyes and talking about me to another co worker. Very unprofessional. After hours of being there and arguing with the providers about his care, they just sent him home. I am very upset with the care here and I hope and pray he is ok. We will be seeing another provider today. This place really needs to train their staff on what an Emergency room is there for. I thought it was there for emergencies. Not just to mask the symptoms to get you home and then once your feeling worse come back. So very sad. And please hire some nurses who actually do their jobs.

Cannot emphasize enough how horrible the patient care is!!! My mom went in with severe abdominal pain, was not seen until one hour later,had to wait alone in a room for another hour, 2 hours later they did a CT scan and blood work and discharged her! You will have better luck receiving urgent care at the regular hospital than at this "Emergency" department.

I arrived 10/22 at an early night hr, placed my name on a list & was called for intake fairly quick. I was in a ED/ER room within 20 minutes. I was surprised the room had a bed chair, which Id never seen, it was nice to not have deal with a bed. I had a very painful sojgren joint flare up so I needed help fast. Normally the pain is invisible but the PA took me seriously and prescibed a reasonable script & I was out the door within 1.5 hrs, this was record time treatment. I also appreciate the medical insurance was requested after I was diagnosed. Unescessary test were not in the treatment. In other states insurance is the determining factor of treatment, UCONN had no idea what insurance i had, my health was first on the list of concern.

Considering I was there for a terrible circumstance, I had a fantastic experience overall. Every one of the doctors that came in to help me were very kind and empathetic despite how busy they are were. The ultrasound tech Hannah was so kind and helpful. My husband could not come in and one of the nurses Allison Zimmer made me feel as comfortable as I could. She treated me like a friend and just talked to me like a human. She knew how to handle a situation many would not, so a very big thank you to Allison. All of the staff were very friendly. So happy to have such a good ER nearby!Here is a special thank you for all of the staff that helped me out tonight!

I took a friend to the emergency room on July 14 at 5 pm and was surprised that I was not checked in as a visitor or checked for illness. There was no hand sanitizer to use upon entering or leaving the room. I did not see staff use sanitizer or wash hands upon entering or leaving. No soap was available for me to wash my hands. I did rinse. Concerned. Staff was friendly and we did not have to wait very long but we may have been exposed to whatever patients in other rooms had.

Quick to get us in. Attentive care. Clean. Felt safe.

Absolutely awful emergency room. They have no idea what they are doing.

Despite being in pain and visiting an emergency room the staff from security through the testing, staff, and Doctor I was in and out with a diagnosis and resolution in 3 hrs which included a CT scan. Everyone was accommodating, pleasant, and helpful. Would definitely recommend!
